I have Stongard applied to the front bumper, lower side scoop edges, and headlight lenses. On a black car like mine, the edges will show eventually. If you drive your F-car a lot, it's a good idea to have some protection. Cleanup is much easier and quicker.

This subject tend to pop up from time to time. A search on this site will yield many previous discussions.

I'd be interested to hear how many people have the "stoneguard" type product and how they like it. I've thought about having it done, and some people are passionate about not doing it, and some vice versa. I did contact to very reputable F type body shops/detaling shops around here and one recommended against it, and one refused to install it..............but then some people love it........why such a variance........anyone????

See http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/207235.html

Also just do a search using "OR" for the words StoneGuard, StoneGard, StoneGard, 3M and you'll come up with quite a bit of info from previous discussions.

I had it applied to my 328 last summer and it is great. Several times I've had that horror of watching something come off the wheel of the vehicle in front of me and hit my car. Every time I've looked expecting a chip and found nothing. My car is mettalic and even with that paint, you really need to get close to the car to see film.

Mine was installed by a local vendor who works through the shop that does my maintenance. They guarantee their work to the point of full replacement or removal if there is a problem.

I would recomend having a pro do the job.
