I watched some of "Grand Prix" last night, I hadn't seen it in years. It's about 30% racing material and 70% really, really achingly awful romance story with embarrassingly terrible dialog.

I can remember seeing it on the big screen when it came out in 66/67 and enjoying it, but seeing it today on the small screen just gives me nausea.

I'm watching it now. It is one of the all time best racing films, a true classic. :-O

Grand Prix is on TCM now (2am EST), they usually repeat it a couple times during the next week or so if anyone is interested, pretty cool movie.
