That was my next question. The wheel(s) are magnesium, we clarified that at the tire place. However, I need to check the PN when I get home. GREAT POINT, though. I don't want to be too impulsive.

Shawn -- You need to be a little careful (or creative). First thing to do is confirm that you have the true stock 16" QV wheels and not reproductions -- does it say: "LEGA DI MAGNESIO" and the PN "120927" somewhere on the inside of the 8" rear wheel spokes? The 16" QV wheels from SuperformanceUK are an Aluminum-based alloy reproduction and cost ~$400 each (and the reproduction 8" center spoke design is more like the 7" center spoke design whereas on the stock wheels the 7" and 8" wheels are a little different center spoke-wise). The stock QV wheels are a lighter Magnesium-based alloy (and cost $800~$900 each) so if you decide to go with the 8" Aluminum reproductions buy 2.
This thread describes the frontside and rearside raised letter markings on my ex-set of stock 16" Magnesium 308QV wheels by Cromodora:

Here's a quote from the "Wheel" Link"

"The Cromodora wheels had raised lettering with the word 'Ferrari' & the rim size."

If that is true, then these wheels are Cromodora. Can anyone confirm that?

BTW,

Thanks for all the input everyone supplied. This board is full of good people. I guess I'm not used to good folks, because I hang out on college football boards way too much. SMACK TALK 24-7 (and I actually hate most of those the jerks). I appreciate the help you all are providing.

That was exactly what I was looking for. Obviously, I cannot participate in the group-buy, but I need only 1 wheel. Must you have the wheels painted or will I receive them like the OEM version, grey and glossy?

That place actually gives a price and shows a picture of the wheel. That is a first. Looks promising, but I don't imagine they are OEM. The cost is 265 pounds, where they calculate pound : dollar at .71:1, which makes the single wheel $373. Seems cheap. Of course there is international shipping involved on a heavy wheel. Does anyone know how close these wheels come to OEM, if they are after-market?

That seems to be what I'm looking for. I'm waiting for the Ferrari Owner's site to confirm my registration. However, it may take some time, because I just changed over the title. It's actually in my grand father's name.

He runs the vintage Ferrari part sales at Ferrari UK. They sell via the Ferrari Owners' Site. Check the Ferrarichat.com sponsor link http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/sponsors.htm for more info.

Don't know him. Like I said, I'm new here and may need some help getting to know who does what. But, thanks for recommending him. How can I contact him?

I'm new here, so let me introduce myself. I'm Shawn from Oklahoma City. Recently purchased a 1985 308 GTS qv. When I went to get the tires balanced, had 3- 7.0 x 16's and 1- 8.0 x 16 on the rear. I guess someone used the spare on the rear (7.0) and kept the other 8.0. Anyway, I can't find an 8.0. Have been looking and calling all around US for a week.
