Here's a few cars from a garage here in Japan. There are so many F40's and 50's here, virtually all bought for the wrong price, hardly driven and for sale at the wrong price. |

The bottom pic was one of the 2 F40's present (that I saw)- one from WI & the other was from CA. Not sure where the 3 F50's were from. |

John, the bottom picture is of an F40- is that one of the 3 Ferrari Fs you mentioned, or were there 3 F50s as well as an F40...? Does the Enzo's doors prohibit Ferrari from ever making a Roadster version of it...? i would have to send get well cards, 'cause a Roadster would be SICK...! |

If I remember right, it was '97 or '98 at Road America during the Brian Redman/Merill Lynch International Challenge. There were 3 F50's that showed that weekend...one was yellow- sorry can't find any pics of it right now. These were taken during the touring session.

a guy in my neighborhood has the f40 AND f50 that are in these ferrari of long island fotos. dealer told me he never uses the cars. we live in a suburban area where these cars could easily be kept and used. what a waste. ps the enzo looks better in black but i still wish they designed it so it could look good in any color |

If the Enzo's appearance is any indication of how it sounds, my anticipation level is red-lining to hear it... Not too long ago, someone posted links to Ferraris video clips- one of which had an Enzo on a track; to just see it move, even on video, was surreal... the sound was intense... i hope to frequent some events this year and possibly hear the roar of the Prancing Horse... |

I've seen, hmm 6-7 F40's I think. Too bad you ya, there are some pretty awesome automobiles. It's funny, the first Ferrari I ever saw, was a 288 GTO. Maybe I'm just lucky when it comes to spotting Ferrari's. Many of my friends and family members think I am weird, just because I can identify a Ferrari among other cars miles away (seldomly also which model), or when they are parked in funny places, where normal people wouldn't see it. I think it's a gidt, cuz' I seem to do it all the time |

No, i've never seen one... To be completely honest, i've never even seen an F40, either... Apparently, though, there was a yellow F40 on the expressway by me, last week; probably better that i missed it- most likely, i would've crashed just lookin' at it... |

OK...I found them, that was faster than I thought. I threw in a few others to provide a better "context". It was neat watching them shut down the street so Ferrari drivers could park their vehicles in front of the dealership. You had to be there!!

DES, I may be able to help. Last June I took my own photos at FLI when they had an open house/rally. Lo and behold, what was in the spot now occupied by the Enzo? None other than the aforementioned RED F50!! I know I have a couple of shots taken through the front window of the dealership. Some annoying reflections but you can still see most of the car. I just need to find them. Give me a day or 2 and I'll have them posted here. |

Ghost, F of LI is in a kinda weird place, on a small business street in Glen Cove, NY. Only street parking up front, and not a plush, fancy display area at all. Back room is really just a giant storage floor, with 360s and 355 sandwiched in among a nice 575 and a 456. I just got back from visiting to look at the Enzo (I was at Nassau Supreme Court, and detoured on my way back to the office) The Enzo was really pretty spectacular, MUCH nicer in person than I would have thought from the pics. The carbon fiber details are exquisite, and the motor detailing is beyond belief. Smaller than it looks in pics too, but a very powerful presence, very purposeful. There was a beautiful Giallo Modena 360 Spyder nearby; no one was paying it any attention whatsoever. |

Ghostrider- below, please find a (very) crude layout of the dealership, along with an explanation...
At the bottom of the picture, you'll see a horizontal squiggly line- that's the front door, where i walked in. Up and to the right, the black box is the Enzo. Up and to the right of the Enzo is the DESk where the guy was sitting when i walked in. Up and to the left of the door, you'll see a brownish greenish box- that's some type of counter- behind which, they sell shirts and stuff (but they can't be purchased there, you have to get them in parts- so it's really only for display). In front of (to the right) that counter, you see two boxes, yellow and grey- these are both 360 spiders. Behind them and the guy at the DESk is a wall, with a door way to the right of the back of the yellow 360. Back there is where a majority of the cars were. The red box that says Dino is well... a Dino. The other red box in the back was a 360- very sweet. The silver box next to it was a 550 (575?), with some other cars next to it... the black box in the top right corner with the little white boxes in it is the 360 challenge- in front of it, there was a mondial and some others. There were a few 355s there (maybe they were 348s- i can never tell the difference). There was also a 456 there as well as a few Maseratis. There was a blue Maserati to the right of the Enzo and a black 3X8 to the right of the Maserati... i believe the parts department is down stairs, behind the yellow 360 spider... i've not been to many Ferrari dealerships to say that this one is odd-looking, 'cause i have nothing to compare it to... But that's the general layout... |

Nice pics DES. Thanks. Surprised to see how the inventory is laid out thought. Would have thought there would have been a fancy showroom, as has been the case with most of the Ferrari showrooms I've seen. Instead, cars kinda seem to be scattered everywhere. Surroundings don't even look plush. Is this how their whole showroom is? Regards. |

Thanks, everyone... It was really inDEScribeable, everyone should see one of these machines in person... That i was lucky enough to see one, is just beyond my comprehension; i figured i'd be the last one to see one in person... Matt, very awesome story- i've yet to see an F40 or F50, but i hope i will this year... John Li- somehow, the car seemed to be the exact size i imagined it would be... After i saw it when i got up to the door, i realized i was lucky enough to see one and everything just sort of got magical from there... The size, the shape, the whole thing- everything just seemed so right... Usually when i smile, my face accommodates my mouth to grin- this time, my mouth needed to accommodate the rest of my face- i'm positive i was glowing like a light bulb... i still haven't soaked in the full realization... i'm doing it slowly... The tires just scream performance- they had me in awe... Not sure about the event, John, i'll have to see... i'll definitely let you know, though... Ron, i'm not sure why there were so many there... i was there two years ago and they had about the same amount of cars there... The 16th picture from the top shows a 360- it had all kinds of decals and stickers on it; probably a challenge car... Anyone know if this belongs to them and they entered it in some kind of a race or if it belongs to someone else...? Doc, i drove him in the same thing i drove their in- my Saturn... ...but i drove it like a 360. Thanks again, everyone- i hope everyone gets to see this car in person... It's like nothing you'll ever see... Even if you don't like it, just to see it in person is a wonder; knowing what it's capable of, standing inches from this powerful machine as it sits still and quiet. Not to be greedy, but my next goal is to hear one- i can't imagine how that sounds... |

Des- Nice pictures. I think black is the color for the Enzo. It is drop dead gorgeous. I can relate to exactly how you feel. Here's a little story- me and a buddy of mine were in the Boston area last April. We were about 20 minutes from Ferrari of New England, so we decided to go check out the showroom. While there, we saw the usual assortment of 360's, 355's, and the v-12 animals. While walking back from FNE, along Washington street, I look up to the sound of a high pitched roar. 100 yard's in front of me, I see the outline of an F-50 coming toward's me. I thought I was seeing things. I asked myself- "What are the chances of seeing 1 of 349 F-50's in the world on the STREET????" But, it was the F-50, with it's hard top on. I was totally mesmerized and went into shock as it passed. It was truly a life changing moment. Something I will never forget. |

I was fortunate enough to see the Enzo at Cavalino this year. I've seen quite of few pictures in magazines and all the professional pictures do not capture the car as seen in person. I was not a total believer until Cavalino. Still my favorite ferrari of all times happens to be a red F-50! Great pictures!!! |

Tipped off by a NY regional forum member that there was an Enzo at Ferrari of Long Island, i made it my top priority to go there this weekend and see it; i went today. Arriving only 20 minutes before they closed, i parked right across the street. Anticipation ran through me like fire through dry leaves; i was so sure that my usual unluckiness would have its hand in this day and that the Enzo would be gone. The reflection of the big glass panes that are the showroom's front wall showed me the busy Saturday bustle of the street along with the glare of the sun. Just beyond that though, i was able to make out silhouettes of what we hold so dear... Ferraris. i couldn't make it across the street fast enough; just as one car passed me, another would come from the opposite direction, as if i were gratuituously subjected to an automotive "Survivor". Finally, i made it to the door where, just before i opened it, there it was. The Ferrari Enzo. My hand stuttered to find the door handle as i wouldn't take my eyes off of what i've only dreamed of seeing since the unveiling of initial idea. In i scurried, not acknowledging the man at the DESk whom eyed me upon my entrance. i had no interest in him. i marveled at the machine in front of me. Surreal would be an understatement to DEScribe what it was like to stand mere inches from the very car i've heard and seen so much about- but never in the flesh. Slowly, i circled the Enzo, capturing its breath-taking beauty from all angles. The sign underneath the wiper blade, 'Do Not Touch! Display Only', the plastic cover on the passenger's seat, the paper mats on the floor by the pedals all confirmed that this car belonged to someone. Someone drove this car. Someone will return and drive this car. Through the windows, my eyes darted with DESire, soaking in the interior; the dash, the center console, the driver's seat, the steering wheel and the F1 paddles behind it. Such an other-worldly experience and it was all somehow made real to me; physical, tangible, right in front of me... ...i need pictures. But my little cousin has the digital camera and he's in the other car, with my uncle. 15 minutes before they close; will my uncle make it here on time...? To break the silence in the room, i turned to the man at the DESk: "This is such an awesome car..." He smiled and mustered a nod. "i came all the way down here just to see this car..." Another quiet smile. As i continued to circle the car, a little figure rolls through the door- my cousin. "Get as many pictures as you can", i whispered. i walked around, ogling the other Ferraris as he began to shoot. Unfortunately, he had to go, late for an engagement he couldn't miss. i took possession of the camera and bid him farewell, promising to have more photos when we met back up at his house. ...& i did just that. i took photos of the Enzo, trying to freeze in time, the already frozen poses of the still car in front of me. i took shots of the other cars, too... You'll find those pictures below. If you haven't seen this car in person, please make it a priority if an opportunity arises. As others have mentioned, it is truly an entirely different experience when you see the car, in person. i'm beyond lucky to have been able to see one of these 399 cars, in real life and not just photos. Aside from April's car show, i don't know if i'll ever see one of these in real life, again. It was, beyond a doubt, a moving experience.
