I'm having the same issues with insurance companies. I have been with GEICO on my jeep for the past 6 years, and only 1 accident. I used GEICO for my 308 for the 3 years I owned it, and only filed 1 claim on my 308 (front euro chin spoiler crackage). So, that's a total of only 2 minor claims in the past 6 years. Never the less, GEICO won't take my '91 TR on the policy. Haggerty won't accept me unless I insure my daily driver with them and the daily driver is a year 2000 or newer vehicle. I'm currently waiting to hear back from Leland-West and Grundy, and have been waiting since Wednesday of last week. This just plain sucks. And my license is clean with no points or moving violations. |

Yep we found Hagerty rather irritating. We had them before and they were great. Then we decided to go to full insurance. Now we want to put two of our weekend cars back on. They won't insurance because Marci & I both had two accidents in the past 5 years. None of them were our fault, and none in a collectors car. Oh yah we have 6 cars between the two of us. We are still with Allstate on all the cars. But would much rather switch to a limited policy like Hagerty, for $450 per year or so. |

Nicole, welcome to FerrariChat... Not sure about Cali, but if it's anything like NY in terms of insurance, Mercury might turn you down at the last second (like they did to me, last month)- i ended up back with General Assurance- same people who i tried to get away from; go figure... General Assurance will probably take you- , if they took me, they'll take anyone... Like you, i have 4 points and my record shows no signs of improvement... i would certainly give them a call... This is their #: 866-252-4669, but i would only call as a last resort; if you call the insurance companies directly, they're gonna try to take you for whatever they think you'll give- find an independent broker- someone who's only interested in a commission, regardless of where you go- tell her/him you need the cheapest stuff out there, just so the car can be legal... |

Nicole, welcome to the board. Do you live in Southern California? If so we have a very active sub-group of FerrariChat that goes on drives and does other events on a regular basis. Check in on the So Cal section of this forum if you are interested. Best regards, Ron |

Need carrier who will take CA ferrai driver with 4 points. The big names like Le west and Hagarty won't touch it. All I really need is liability, and limited use would be nice. THX for the help.
