Thanks for the article, Krister. The article was chopped up in spots but I think I know how the system works now. |

I found an article reprinted in the "Ultimate Portfolio" about the Valeo transmission, which I OCR'ed and attach here: (It's in RTF format and should be readable by many types of editors) |

there is one for sale out here in NY times and I don't thing there are many of them...the big thing I hear is never ever confuse it ( or let the seller even mention it in the same breath as..) the F-1 transmission - they are worlds apart. I don't think it is anything special, can't remember any reviews of it in major Ferrari press, but I am curious as well, don't think I would want to own one but curious as well. |

Anyone own a Mondial t with the valeo transmission system? I'm curious about how that system work. |

whenever I see a Mondial T -coupe (or GT-4) being driven as a daily driver (w/o a 4-sale sign in the window!) I am always inpressed that there goes one of the smartest sports car buyers around...'cause you know they are driving a 348 -mid engined powered comfortable 2+2 Ferrari everyday to work ( for which he/she paid nothing for! - or less than a BMW) and probably have a TR or boxer at home for the weekends or track. I hope everyone continues to hate mondials so that we can still drive them and beat them up every day and avoid the "worship" that other cars succumb to. In the right colors the car looks pretty good too |

Hi Paul, Couldn't agree more with Sam's positive saying about the Mondial t. I own a euro cpé -92, which I drive for ~9000 km/year (~5600 miles), wife and two children, 7 and 9 years of age (see my posting http://209.196.179.161/discus/messages/21/606.html?#POST6416). The foldable back seats makes the car carry lots of stuff for two people. Apart from Sam, it seems anyhow, I have only experienced one electrical problem, the interface between the cat temp sensor and the engine mgmt system, which again is a known 348 problem. IMHO I think that the Mondial t is one of the most underestimated Ferrari's. |

Love my mondial T but then again it is a Cabriolet... a world of differnece from the coupe. I drive mine regularly and like it for its comfort...lots of room and storage space for a ferrari. love the complete convertible...love that I can take two people if need be...love the 348 engine performance and handling. Don't like the electronics but this is a 348 problem ( i still don't know why Ferrari thinks we can operate a 5 speed manual transmission but can't open our own gas cap? I never expect the electronics to work (hey despite what lay people think and expect..the mondial T is NOT a Mercedes SL!) and so am never disappointed. If you are looking at the Coupe...you can't beat the value per horsepower (sellers are giving these cars away)...probably the best power per performance deal in the world 'cept for maybe a TR or GT4 |

Paul, a golf bag absolutely fits in the back of the 328... ONE bag. My 328 is nearly flawless, extremely reliable... great car! I've had no problems at all. Go for it! |

I have sold my 355 and miss it greatly, I am looking at a '88 328 GTS and a '90 Mondial t. Any input from owners would be great. Looking for horror stories or compliments. The car will be driven almost daily, the 355 was flawless in everyway except for the golf bag limitation. Thanks for your help. |
