I recently mentioned to a friend that I ordered a 360 Spider--an act that will surely test my patience as I will have to wait a very long time to receive it. Anyway, a week, or so, later he gave me a couple of books. The first book is titled "The Cruel Sport, The drama of Grand Prix racing--with a superb collection of 165 photographs taken by the author," and is authored by Robert Daley. This book was published in 1963, and it has a great deal of Ferrari "coverage," with chapters devoted to the history of Ferrari racing (as of 1963). The second book is titled, "The Enzo Ferrari Story, an autobiography." This book was originally published in Italy under the title, "Le Mie Gioie Terribili," in 1962. The United States version was printed in 1963 with a foreword by Stirling Moss. I am aware that there are collectors who accumulate Ferrari paraphenalia. I have no intention of selling the books (both first printings). However, we are curious as to their value. Any information is appreciated. |
