It's hard to say if there's a noticeable improvement. I also replaced the plugs on the car. What I have noticed is that around hard turns the car doesn't stutter as much. Don't know if that's due to the fuel line replacement (with the return line, that seems sort of unlikely), new plugs (old plugs had less than 4000 miles on them), or the K&N (perhaps more air input allowed the car to fire on the previous "lean" mixture on turns). I also patched up the flexible air intake duct. Rather than ordering and waiting another couple of weeks I just got some RTV and patched up the split seams. All the above has certainly made the car run better.

And yes, I do need another Ferrari while this one is down! I'd love to get a 330 2+2 or a 246.

I am curious if you notice a difference with the K&N filter also. I have been thinking of getting one.

Sounds like you need two ferraris; one to drive while the other is in the shop!

Hey James - how does the K&N filter work for you? A noticeable improvement?

Never thought I'd miss driving so much. About 3 weeks ago I decided once and for all to find the source of a fuel smell on my '78 GTB. It ended up being the return line from the carbs. So I ordered some fuel line as well as a new K&N air filter. All the parts finally came, I installed them, and no more fuel smell! Hopefully the halon extinguisher I picked up on ebay will never be needed now.

There was nothing better than the drive into work this morning. Hit 45S in Houston, slip into 5th gear, and before I knew it I was hitting 90 mph in morning traffic (slowed down of course)!
