Here we see it the other way around.
Let them drink now, and drive later.

With a license comes great reponseability. A thing I mean you don't have to much of when you are 16. When you go out on the street, you have the responsibilty of your fellow trafficant's.
Drinking is for yourself only. It's your own life you put at risk, and not someone elses.

That's the thing I mean. For me it looks like you have switched the two things and made a dangerous coctail. We haven't had a pursuit with young people driving here in 1 year now. I think that has something to do with the age. 16 is not a responsible age to drive. To drink? - Yes :-)

quote:

Do you think I'm the only one saying it? They say stuff to me too. As an example, I'm circumsized, or how you spell it. They call me "Jew Jones" but I don't care.

once again, this is among friends. HOw would you feel if i said that to you? Some of my groups of friends refer to each other using derrogatory racial phrases, but it's ok because we know we are joking. If someone else said that, thats crossing the line.

quote:

Why are you so strict in America, some things are completely ludicris. You can drive a car in age of 16, but not buy alcohol before 21? That's crazy. It's ten times more dangerous to drive, then to drink. Here in DK you can buy alcohol when you are 16, and drive when you are 18.

This is because teenagers are not responsible to handle alcohol around here. Also, when you mix alcohol and driving, very bad things can happen. I can tell you that many of my friends drive while drunk, and its not a good thing to do. we arent strict about everything, just important stuff. As much as i hate saying it, it is good that i can't legally buy alcohol because. Just because i cant legally buy it doesnt stop me though, but it does deter me slightly. Also, cultures are different over there. I dont think your social life is as centered on drinking as mine was and still is. If 16 yr olds could buy beer it would be a disaster. Lets face it, when you are that young you do stupid things and when you drink you also do stupid things. Im sure you can see where i'm going with this.
Also, not all american kids get "grounded". I never did and i turned out fine. This isnt to say i got off clean with everything bad i did. quite the contrary actually. once i got my license my parents would revoke my car priveledges sometimes, and trust me, when you are 17 you really like to have access to a car. Some of my friends got grounded, but not many. One of my younger friends who is sitll in highschhoool got "grounded" (meaning he cant go out on fri and sat nights) fora month doing something stupid and trust me, he will never make that mistake again.

How many profiles have you had?
How many places did you say you worked at?
How many Ferrari's did you say you have had?
Where did you test drive the Lamborghini?
Did you make up another profile of someone that "drove by" your place do give you credibilty?

I haven't made any bummer's in the last 4 month's and then I make this little one. AND IT IS LITTLE. And Matt, again is starting a vandetta.

But Matt should take some kind of anger management class, og go to a shrink. Cuz' something isn't right. You are proberbly gonna use some false evidence like you did last time, by showing some profile of a random kid from Denmark. Stating that you had traced it with my IP. Bullshit.

There's no limit to when you wanna have sex here either. That's up to the children to decide. But if they are under 15 there can't be more than onee year between the two that had sex.

Jonas, like Terry said, this isn't a close-knit circle of your own, personal friends... & if things were really done like that in Denmark, you have to understand that it's proper etiquette to take into account the cultures you're mixing yourself with, and respecting them; in other words, if that's the culture in Denmark (which i doubt) that's fine- but you're chatting with many different cultures here and the rules from your own may not necessarily apply to them...

Jonas,
I think the internet forum and email for that matter are very hard places to pull off Sarcasm. I use sarcasm, with many of my close friends, but they can tell by the inflection of my voice. Mr. Carmack is not your friend and you were not talking among close friends. It is sad that you would insult, even in a joking manner, your own grandmother. I think that says it all. And don't worry "Americans" won't jump to the conclusion that all people from Denmark are Jerks, just because you act like one here.

You can call a friend "fatboy" becasuse you know him. You can't call someone you dont even know ugly. even if someon is your friend it is still f---ed up to call them ugly. If you call your friends ugly, i wouldnt want to be your friend. CAllig someone ugly is a good way to get a black eye or a swift kick in the balls.

DES, as you said. "older couple" Off cause they are not like that. I'm relatively young, being 18. All we do is talk thrash about eachother, and we do it with smiles on our faces. Cuz that's the way we do it here. I have a really big friend, called Mikkel. He's a little fat, and we call Fatboy. It's his nickname. It is like this with everyone, it's the way it is here.

Ugly is a very used word here, and is not considered bad. Hell, I could call my grandmother ugly to her face, and she would laugh of it. Because, "irony" and "sarcasm" it the most used jokes over here. It's not my problem you don't understand it.

When I tell this to my friends tommorrow, they will laugh their ass of. I'm sure of it.

This is not an attack on you Americans by me, but I know they will say: "Those Americans ain't to bright"
This is not to be taken personally.

I'm trying to make a point here. Don't take everything so seriously; You'll shoot yuorself in the foot one day.

Jonas, we all immediately understood the nature of your comment- but joke or not, it was in bad taste...

i don't know about the rest of america, but here in NY, we can't live without sarcasm or irony (although, quite a few people confuse the two)... Jokes are great, they lighten things up, but you don't know for sure that "that John dude" isn't on the board or won't register one day... To put someone down isn't nice...
i met an older couple from Denmark on Sunday and they were very nice people, so i know it's not the way of life in Denmark to put people down... Like i said, jokes are great, but they're in bad taste when the laugh is at someone else's expense...

Kevin Butler, you are right. But the fact is, IT WAS A JOKE. Why is it that you Americans doens't have an humor. In Denmark "ironic" and "sarcastik" jokes are the most used and common. I guess it's true what they teach in school. Other country's don't understand that kind of humor.

Maybe I will own a Twin-Turbo F50 one day, and you can bet your ass on you are the first I'm gonna show it to. I love seeing the faces people can make if something very surprising would happen. As an example if I showed up to one of your Ferrari gatherings in an F50 and tell you that I was Jonas from the board. I would give a million to see your faces :-)

DES,
He said it directly to me. That John dude isn't on this board, and what he doens't know, doens't hurt him.

It was a joke, why don't you get it.

No fair, Ron- i AM ugly and still don't have one... If unattractive appearance is top criteria for owning an automobile, when i go out to lunch, the Saturn out there had better magically turned into an Enzo...!

Totally uncool to say about someone.

But If I had to be ugly to have a few Ferraris, then so be it...

I hope that no one take offence to this but.... as a forum for Ferrari enthuasists, should this not be in the O/T forum where you guy can duke it out? Lets try to respect each other in keeping with the Ferrari tradition.

I'd rather be John Carmack than Jonas. Carmack has proven himself to be a software gaming genius (and multimillionaire in the process). Quake III is THE coolest game ever created IMO. And for you people who think video games are childish, you should see this game.

Jonas, on the other hand, has proven himself to be a habitual liar. I watched all the posts where he claimed to own F40's & F50's. Hell, he'd still be talking that trash if it weren't for Matt and a lot of other people on this board smoking him out. This is not cruel; this is a FACT.

Wonder if Jonas will ever own a twin-turbo F50...?

I agree with you about Jonas. I do think that the coments Dave made about Bruces problems are something else.

Hey guys: While I disagree with his comment, Jonas admits he made a mistake, and apologized for it......I am sure he will not do it again.

It seems that when one puts something in print, readers think he is constantly repeating it.....this is not true.

Let's all shake hands, forget this, and move on.

Jonas, it's still not right to call someone ugly, just as you feel it's not right to be called a basket case... & he wasn't saying that your wishes for Bruce weren't nice, he created this thread in general, coincidentally raising the issue of your comment about Mr. Carmack...

James,

I live in Denmark. It's on the other side of the planet. I couldn't care less, I don't know the guy.

It was a JOKE. Get over it. Sorry for the explicit language.

Jonas
John owns some interesting cars. He's an interesting and charitable guy. Do you think he's going to want to join a forum where someone has called him too ugly to own an F50?
(I wasn't refering to you re:Bruce. I said "or" not "and". I was refering to the person who made that statement)

damn, because one get's off on the wrong foot, which I did, and hasn't said otherwise. Then you are getting hunted by other users.

James, when the did I take pleasure in Bruce's Illness? - Maybe you have the same decease, cuz' I wrote I would pray for him.

Damn

Okay, I'll rephrase my JOKE then.

"I can't take it seriously when someone who looks like a basket case own's an F50 :-)
(hehe)"

Then it's okay now? - I think my first sentence was better, but okay.. I don't live in America, maybe it's not that bad to call anyone a basket case over there.

Jonas, I'm on board with James here, but I don't see it as a MAJOR infraction, but I'm glad James did call you on it.

Thanks for the kind word Rob, It's alway nice to be called a basket case. :-(

Remember, Jonas is the same user that claimed to have all these Ferraris and we busted his story wide open and exposed him for who he was. I thought he had come around a little bit, but it looks like a little more "influence" is needed on this basket case.

I agree. Don't let one person's statement get you down about the entire board though. Someone like that isn't even worth the time to deal with.

Again I apologize to all for my participation in any bickering or flaming.

IMHO statements that someone is too ugly to own an F50 or taking pleasure in someone's vision problems are way the fu*k over the top.
