Many years ago the phone would ring and and I'd hear Alberto say: "Jim it's too nice to work".
I'd look out my office window and reply "I don't know it looks a little overcast." "I'll pick you up in 30 minutes." Sure enough his red Alpha would pull up to Broadway and I'd get in. Two hours later we'd pull up to the docks in Philly. He'd sign some paper work and hand me the keys to a new Ferrari. "What ever you do don't touch the mirror or the vent window latches, they'll fall off!" "But Alberto I need to adjust the rearview mirror." "Drive." He said. Over the years I must have driven 30 new Ferrari's from the docks to WWOC. When ever the phone rings I still hope it'll be Alberto saying: "Jim it's too nice to work..." One fine day this summer it will be.

Jim,

You should take the P4 in its part way through restoration to Pebble beach it would cause a sensation and the motor heads would love to be able to see all the little details, etc.

Just a suggestion, but you often see displays of part restored cars and a concours ...

It almost seems a shame to finish it as all those details will be hidden.

Is that THE Bob Wallace? I guess so, huh? Teddy did motors for me in my rookie season in Atlantic about a hundred years ago. A real craftsman. Good luck with your gorgeous car.

Jim, I'm drooling with anticipation. I'm gonna have to get a waterproof computer now. Watching this car come together is fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

The motor packed up and heading home. Installing seatbelts for passenger. Installing Fuel Injector air ducting, note cut out for original oil overflo tube. Final riviting of the nose. Note how one side needs shim on underside to true up nose. Rivets set so they will show through the paint. No Filler will be used so body must flo on it's own
