Regarding setting up an event there, I've put info in the Alabama/Georgia section. To jump directly there, click here. |

George Barber has several of those cast iron insect statues around the track grounds. In another area there are huge ants with old motorcycles (real ones) hanging off their antenna. It's just a really cool place. Jim France, president of International Speedway Corp. and one of the most powerful and influential figures in racing, visited it and said, "It's clearly, by far, the best road track in North America." |

What the heck is that huge spider thing? You are lucky, btw, to have a track that close to your house... make sure to make good use of it!!! |

In the very first picture below you can see in the background behind the score tower a level green. This is the expo area so visitors may display their cars. I'm so excited about this track in my own backyard that I can hardly stand it!!!

A track just 7 miles away from your house! You're so lucky. Did you take your 308 there? |

It's just outside of Birmingham, in Leeds a.k.a. hometown of Charles Barkley |

Looks like a great track - is it in Birmingham?? But methinks there may be a bit of a radiation leak in the vicinity - ergo the macro-arachnid Yikes! |

The big building in the background second below is his motorcycle/automobile museum. It's still under construction at this time. |

This is a beautiful track. It's only 7 miles from my house. They are hosting the Alabama SCCA this weekend. We need to set up an event there as soon as possible.
