Henry, I agree with Doug 100%. Every time that I am in the area (relatives nearby) I stop in to look at the inventory. Wire Wheel has been in business a long time and caters to a different customer than the usual "deep pockets poser Ferrari/Lambo etc." type of dealer. Mostly 60's British sports cars, Lotus, Mini, TVR. When is the last time you saw a Marcos? http://www.wirewheel.com/index.shtml |

Doug: my nephew was interested in the Jaguar-Kougar. He has a 1965 TVR Griffith, which he bought from me. He now wants to add to his collection with something not as "beastly" as the Griffith. |

Henryk, up here, people tend to shy away from "Florida cars." When I started researching a purchase, I found out that's because lots of shady people seek refuge in Florida, particularly people who've essentially been run out of NY. I'd say that Shelton are above reproach, after that, I'd be wary. |

Hank The grill between the tailights will be black. Also, regarding wirewheel: the owner is more of a hobbyist/collecter that opened a business in a warehouse/garage. No fancy showroom. Just a small office and a 4 bay storage warehouse packed with english cars and parts. Has a mechanic or two to keep things running. What car is your nephew interested in? |

Be very wary of any FL dealer... percentage-wise, they tend to be crooked... and the laws and legal system in FL seem to benefit the crooks. I can't tell you anything about that dealer though.

Henry I went there about 6 months ago when visiting my parents. Wanted to see the TVR Griffith. Owner is a nice guy. Some stuff is pricey for what it is, but he has stuff that very few people have. I will be down there again in a few weeks so if you need anything checked out, let me know. BTW, I did the trade for the 512BB that I spoke with you about. It now resides in my garage. Just have to get a few things buttoned up(interior door panels and rear tail lights). Pics of it's current state are at http://photos.yahoo.com/ziggymeredith |
