I'd buy it, race it, and not feel a bit bad if I put it into the wall (the place you need to be to safely race. If you're always worrying about the car's paint in the back of your mind, you're NOT worrying about that apex 100%!) Toss some Sparco/OMP seats in, change the wheels to Fiske and throw slicks on, and drive it on the track withought all that sissy front-end coverage you see these days. The car's still in very decent shape, not a show car, but a driven example. Best! Ben. |

PSK- My sentiments exactly, I would only add: It's been driven like a normal sports car SHOULD be driven. |

Well, I'll agree that the car is 'rough'; however, let's say you've got $50k in the bank, liquid, and wanted to track a 355, or we're willing to invsest in the 30k service (which may/may not have been done; the mechanical repair or disrepair of the air is still in the air, no?), and some serious elbow grease, you could end up w/ a very thrifty street/track 355. Also, hopefully the valves and cats have been looked at, of course the cats would probably be replaced in the track car scenario. The interior, well, yah, it's dirty, but you could either pull the door panels, center console, and have it redyed, or just replace them w/ the carbon fiber fill-in's made my gruppe M. The seats, you could clean up, sell, and replace w/ some true race seats, i.e. recaro spg's for ~ 1500 including a pair of seats, rails, and side mounts. Oh, and those wheels you could dump too; speedline, by convention, make cheesy and cheap wheels, on average. There's plenty out there. Again, if you can talk the guy down to $50k, possibly lower, and you've got the money (liquid), time, and spirit to get the car 'right', and don't minid the cosmetic blemishes, i.e. paint chips and dent(s). Then this could be a very cheap (relativly), and very fun car for ~ $50k. I realize that $50k can buy a pristine 348, but I'm just making a case for this particular 355. |

The leather on the 355 is thin by nature and will wear quickly. This does seem "above" normal wear. It does scream track drivin. Run, don't walk from this one. |

I just checked the pics on his site. Look at the rock chips on the front of that hood -- definitely seems to (1) either be taken care of very poorly (and driven hard) or (2) a tracked car. Also, that engine bay looks filthy -- all rusted out. Icky poo!! Regards. |

I still think it's debatable if this car is worth the 69.5! |

Go figure!! Is this the first 355 that we've seen for an ASKING price of less than $70K. Ie, has the "$70K" threshold been broken (even if it is for a crappy car)?!? Regards. |

I agree with you guys. No wonder it has been for sale for so long (although, admittedly, infrequently posted). IMHO, this is worth less than $75K, given the "beater" condition it's in. Regards. |

I'm with Tom. My theory is: rollbar + harness + bad track ability = messy white seat! |

22+K miles? Roll Bar? Harness? Car's seen some track time, which equals beater in my book. Here's your $75,000 F355. |

All that wear in 22K miles? All those previous owners must not have cared. Even the stone chips look excessive. *Sobbing* |

Just saw this '95 355 come up on eBay. I've seen it posted before a couple of months ago. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2407527322 Take a look at the picture of the seat. Hope it isn't testimony to the condition of the rest of the car. Yikes!! Regards. |
