There was a period of time about a yr ago when F dealerships refused to service Euro's.That has changed (at least in the NW).They do now. Actually in my case fna did 4 "safety recalls" on my '99 360 at no cost to me (but no "service campaigns )which I pd for myself. |

Maybe I worded my statement wrong. By "every automotive manufacturer I know of," I didn't mean every manufacturer that I've ever heard of, I meant to state, "every manufacturer who's policy I am familiar with." My bad on that one. Even Hawaii falls outside of the North American region for some manufacturers and cars that are shipped from the contental US to Hawaii or vice versa might not qualify for warranty repairs. Anyway, my point was that no F-car dealer can honor the Euro warranty and that it's not because they don't want to. As far as servicing the Euros, I don't own one and had never heard that dealers weren't servicing them until Brian's post. It makes sens, though, that they would want to add as many deterrents as possible to prevent people from buying overseas at lower prices. |

L.Wayne, I know for a fact that BMW honored the warranty on grey market Z8's. |

Ty, it's not an issue of the dealers honoring the warranty or not. Dealers don't do warranty work for free, they are paid by the manufacturer or warranty company for the repairs. It's a matter of Ferrari (or whoever is underwriting their warranty) not honoring the warranty outside of its coverage area. The Euro warranty is useless to US dealers as is the US warranty to dealers in Europe. It's not just Ferrari that works this way either. Every automotive manufacturer that I know of works the exact same way. |

Mike, That black one was a euro conversion that went bad. Alan said it will cost $50,000 to fix. All out of the guys pocket. I saw it on Friday there. Along with the red Enzo and Red F-40 |

I recently saw a euro 360 spider in The Auto Gallery in woodland Hills. It's probably still there as it had caught fire. |

Brian, I was referring to So Cal Dealers. My mistake for not making that clear. |

That is incorrect... they all do NOT service Euros. I think all will service Euros for models that were not brought in by FNA at all. But if FNA imports the model, then Euros imported not through FNA are treated as non-Ferraris by some dealers. For example, neither FoDallas nor FoHouston will service Euro 360s... warranty or not. The ONLY thing they will do on Euro 360s is any safety-related recall. (And that only because they don't want to be sued when someone gets hurt due to the recall not being done.) Fortunately, those of us in Dallas can take Euros to Norwood's... an excellent Ferrari service shop... so its not too much of a problem... other than the lack of a warranty. But the $20K or more delta in price can pay for a lot of warranty work. To finish answering the original question, I do not believe there is any dealer that will honor the warranty of a Euro. It would be interesting to collect in this thread a list of which dealers will service Euros and which won't.
