OOps! I just backed out of considering that same auto. It does come with a salvage title. Most of the parts are included, but not the quarter panel or the missing lights off the front, as well as some other items. Also the rear frame is bent 1/4". Maybe its an okay deal, but not for me. -g

Ask whoever inspects it for an estimate to fix it. Remember Ferrari parts & service r anything but cheap :)

Good luck and keep up updated!

If the car is in California, you might check to see if it's being sold with a salvage title. If it is, financing and insuring can sometimes be difficult. Also resale can be troublesome - just be careful

Alex, call Gary Bobileff to look at the car. His name was given to me by the guys at Norwood in Dallas when I was trying to get a car inspected in La Jolla. Gary sent me a copy of an inspection he did on another car, and he is THOROUGH! I don't have his number handy, but try his website, www.bobileff.com. Good luck!

Alex, If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I can't think of any questions that I would be satisfied with his answer. As you have requested, try and find a reputable Ferrari repair shop if not a Ferrari Dealer. Is this car driveable or have you heard it run? I can't think of any reason why this guy would do this. If he has the parts he was intending to repair it. What changed his mind? Sorry I can't direct you to a Ferrari specialist out there on the west coast. I'm sure some of the other guys can. Be sure you get it checked before you buy. On any Ferrari there's too much at stake to lose if you don't know what you are looking for.

The car was hit on the rear right corner and supposedly has only minor fire damage. Also some suspension damage. It also comes with most of the replacement parts. The owner is only asking $52,000. This seems extremely low. What questions do I need to ask the owner to ensure the car is genuine? Also, are there any Ferrari specialists in San Diego that I can call to inspect the car?

Thanks
