I had a V8GT Esprit and loved it. It was my 4th Lotus, I had an elan an elise and two esprit's at different times over the years, but due to the fact it was losing so much money I got rid of it.
As it has twin turbo V8 it does seem faster than the 355 especially at lower revs. I would recommend it as a cheaper 'supercar' if for nothing else than its handling & performance. Though I think prices for them in the UK are cheaper than for you in the USA.
When the Elise reaches your shores you'll find it is a great fun car.
Like most other people on the list I had to have a Ferrari and experience the sound and all the other things that go with owning one. Fabulous!

Thanks for the feedback. I wish we could get together for a ride. How did you make the transition, what were your motivations for getting a 355 instead of an Esprit?
My idea would be to have both - my S4s and a F355. But don't tell my wife just yet...

To be PC shouldn't you refer to it as a 355 of color ? |

I just recently sold my Esprit and got myself a beautiful black F355 spider....
Wasn't me as I live in London UK! Both great cars though.

I saw a beautiful black F355 Spider on Alexander Road in Princeton (NJ) on Saturday (3/15) afternoon. Too bad I wasn't driving my Esprit. Anybody on this Chat, please?
