Oh, and it's not automotive theme. It'll have that Ferrari thing as of now, but the rest is themed quite differently.

Le Reve.

"The Dream"

Built on the existing Desert Inn resort, opposite the Frontier and the Fashion Mall. Their golf course is going to be redesigned to make room for the resort.

Brian,
Steve Wynn's new place is on the north end of the strip just about 2 blocks fom the Stratosphere, on the right side going north. It wasn't open when I was there a few weeks ago. I don't know where to watch the race at, but if you need a Hair Cut, go to A Little Off The Top. I think it is on Sierra West. Let me know if you like their style.

As a part time resident of Las Vegas I have yet to find a great place to watch a race. One of the problems with catching this race is that it is aired during the prime Saturday evening rush due to the time difference overseas. I think it will be pretty tough to get any of the places on "The Strip" to change the channel to F1. That is unless the group is big enough (and racking up a good size tab). Some off Strip ideas would be Hooters on W. Sahara, about 10 min from the center strip, or the Irish pub at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson (about 15 min). One idea for a strip hotel may be the Houdini Lounge at the Monte Carlo, they have a nifty new plasma screen TV, but the audio will be hard to hear over the casino noise. I wish I had better choices for you, but I hope this helps.

Is there a sports bar or automotive themed joint to watch it at? Other people are arriving earlier Friday than me, so they can also do some recon.
Any hints/clues appreciated.

I live in Vegas- went to see Australian GP at Ceasers and possibly wager on it as well- since its an international event there is no betting on it - and if you can't bet on it-no way the casino will broadcast it at their sports book. Cox cable carries speed channel not sure if the hotels have it- plent of 24 hour resurants around with plenty of tv's i'm sure they would accomodate you if you asked

I'm not 100% sure but the casino is the Le Reve which is owned by Steve Wynn. It is not open yet.

There are a few people from the F-List going to Vegas this weekend. Anyone want to get together? Can anyone recommend a good place to watch the F1 race Saturday night? Is the Ferrari dealer that is going to be in a casino open yet? Where is that going to be, as I would like to check it out.
TIA
