Dave, mine are OEM, but if i didn'thave them, I'd stick on the sticky ones. If you don't like them you'll only be out $20 or so, no biggie.

Dave: just my opinion, but I can't see the problem with the stick-on shields. The original shields were decals intended to denote the Alfas that raced as Scuderia Ferrari, (Ferrari was the team manager). The OEM shields are nice, but if you're gonna put shields on a road car (and they look magnificent on a red beauty like yours) then why not use the clear plastic stick-ons? They'll really set the color of the car off. Just my opinion.

It appears your shields on your 360 are OEM. I think they really set a red car off. A definate option next time around. I'm studying purchasing the one's Paul has available out of Florida.

Dave, I know this is only my opnion, but I think that the stick on shields are fine, and they are super cheap. My buddy has them on his black 360 spider and they look fine...again just my opinion. Nobody except Ferrai enthusiasts would even notice the diff.

also, in the interest of putting my opinion where my mouth is, i did have the stick ons on my 355.

Like Noel stated go drive both and decide after a good test drive. I don't think you will be able to tell with only a 10 minute test. Shelton let me drive as long I wanted without asking whether I was in the market for one. Coming back they did ask whether I was interested and the rest of the story is history. They made a sale but not with that car. They had a Red/Tan 6 speed coming in on a trade the next week. Two months old with 293 miles!! I live in the outer reaches on Indy and would not like my stick if I did much downtown driving! I miss the shields that Noel has.

I have a F1 as well and I like it, but I live in the city. It's simple, go to a local dealer and give em both a spin, then you'll know.

It is by far the most superior car I have ever owned. I've had 15 or more Corvette's (3ZR1's, coupes and currently a 2002 ZO6). All my cars have been 6 speeds and that is what I required when I started to look. I was able to get the factory warranty assigned to me for the duration on the 36 months. My only criteria was Red/Coupe and 6 speed. The F-1's were easier to find and a greater number manufactured. It was one of the most enjoyable searches I had. Good luck. In this case the search was not better than the find. It seems like a new experience everytime you drive your new car.

Sebastian
My dealer told me that the 360 is the most reliable Ferrari they have seen. The car has not been plagued with major problems. Any year car would be ok although the 99's are probably out of factory warranty. As far as options go...the rear challenge grill might be a consideration. If your are considering an F1 transmission, the 2002's seemed to be improved.

sebastian, we at FerrariChat always like to share our opinions with new posters and potential buyers. But we also like to do so after the individual has done some homework on his own. The question you ask is a very common one, and has been asked many times -- have you tried searching the archives for this?? You will find a wealth of information.

Please give it a go, and repost if you have additional questions.

Regards.

I am interested in purchasing a 360. Any words of wisdom out there on what to look for and avoid on this model? e.g. undesirable year, options, etc., or most encountered problems.
