Right, Martin. The U.S. Versions, or more properly, North American Version Fiberglass GTBs, according to Gerald Roush in the FML, were made in three groups in mid-1976: 20 in May (19397-19435), 40 in June (19505-19583), and a final batch of 40 in July (19725-19805). Each batch of cars had consecutive (odd) serial numbers. As Edvar mentioned, Robert Retzlaff's 308 GTB Register is helpful in determining the changeover to steel in early 1977: http://www.r-design.net/308/serialnumbers.htm Barry

There is 100 believed true US imported Fiberglas cars. They were imported in bunches The First is # 19397 and the last known is # 19805. Barry is a knowledgable Ferrari Fiberglass guy. Contact Him. He had sent me a list from an article on the US Fiberglass cars, since I had one which I sold (regretably). |

I believe the last fiberglass (Vetroresina) for the US market was near s/n 19999. All US versions after this number are steel versions. For more info, check: http://www.r-design.net/308 |

I've been informed they were from 18677-21289. Now are these for the U.S market cars or for all markets? European market had 308s in fiberglass into the 77 year. Does anyone know how far into 77 they had these made? If you haven't guessed, I'm looking for a 1976-1977 European 308GTB Fiberglass model. Please let me know of any leads. |
