They may not be Euro cars, Ferrari sends US cars to the Middle East morem than Euro cars. I had the pleasure of dealing with some and they are full US car even FNA had record of some of them, they just have metric gauges.

I seem to remember reading that Saddam got pissed at Uday for killing a maid because she displeased him, (Saddam liked the maid) so Saddam tourched 15 of Uday's Ferraris. Tough Love...

William just translated the German translation
of the original US movie title back into
English: "Die drei Weisen" -> "The three wise men"
BTW, Saddam did purchase a lot of bunkers from
Gildemeister in Braunschweig, Germany... pretty
good bunkers if he could survive the bunker blaster attacks... then again... maybe not!

Arie,

I wonder what a shell shocked 360 would bring? That reminds me of the movie THE THREE WISE MEN. Except I'd go after the gold. :-O

With 1200 cars, he probably had them somewhat dispersed. Odds are that something survived the bombing. Let's send DES over to poke around the land mines and see what turns up!

As a 'patriotic' American I would happily buy a pristine terrorist Ferrari to help finance the rebuilding a country.

I saw a report last night concerning the sleezy lifestyle of Uday(sp) Hussein, one of Saddam Hussein's sons. They showed video of Uday riding in a Rolls Royce and they reported that he owned 1200 (yes, twelve HUNDRED) various exotic cars. Which of course made me wonder how many were Ferraris. Since Uday is probably now sleeping permanently under piles of rubble with dear old Dad and his brother, what's the status of his car collection? Where were they located? How many F-cars are in the bunch, and of what variety? With the ground hog now delivering the mail to the Hussein heirarchy, what enterprising Baghdad citizenry is going to take advantage of the chaos and "liberate" a Ferrari or two from their hidden storage bunkers? Do we have any contacts on the ground heading toward Baghdad? What lucky and enterprising U.S. Marine is going to bust into a warehouse building near Baghdad and drive victoriously back to Kuwait in a bright red Ferrari Spyder? Ah, the spoils of war!!!
