It was a judgment call, he was obviously part of the wedding, and the area I was in was about as un-shady as Illinois gets. I really wasn't worried.

Awesome act of kindness Noel, but you have to wonder about someone his age waiting so long so late at night. I'm very happy it had a great ending.

Hah thats a brave --maybe dangerous-- thing to do but sounds like the guy had a blast! You certainly made someone's day! Too bad there aren't many Ferraris in Irvine,CA :-)

Last saturday night(earlier that day i was with some fellow F-chatters), I met a few friends at a local hotel to hang out for a while. I left the hotel around 1am and some guy in a tux was sitting on a planter in front of my car. I got in and he motioned to me that he wanted to talk, i opened the window and he said he'd been waiting there for me for two hours(the valet told him). He wanted to talk about ferraris in general and my car, I said "okay dude, hop in". It was late and in the burbs so there was zero traffic, I ran him around the block a few times(minor terrorizing) and dropped him off, he said it was one of the coolest things he'd ever done. No big deal of a story but it was cool to make someone so happy for so little(he was about 25yrs old):-)
