Doody
This should be the code to turn off your alarm if your key fob fails. For example, you come out of a restaurant and the for whatever reason you can't disarm your alarm ( bad battery in the fob). You unlock the car and the alarm goes off. To turn off the alarm, you put the key into the ignition and turn the key the number of times of the "4" digit code. The manual explains the exact procedure.
In case someone has lost the "4" digit code, the selling dealer is supposed to keep this on file.

Maybe Ferrari ownership comes with an ATM card- did you check the glove compartment for a bank card...? :-)

in the paperwork on my 550 i have a 4" by 4" document with a ferrari logo on it that, when opened contains a four digit "PIN code" along with the model and VIN. all it says is "Keep this sheet in a safe place".

i'm guessing it's not the becker radio code. i have one of those for the 355 (though not for the 550) and this doesn't look anything like that.

clues?

tia,
doody.
