I definitly have to agree that yellow is the color for that car. As was the general opinion I didn't like the car at first but after seeing these pics I am in love with the design. The owner is one lucky guy. What previous ferrari's did he own?

Mitch,

As a lover of all things Ferrari, I understand your point about the F-40 and 288GTO being more "stylish". But they were conceived and built in a different time. Neither of those cars came close to the performance of the F1 cars available at the time. The Enzo isn't an F1 car either, but its a heck of a lot closer to an F1 car than anything prior to it. I think you have to see one of these cars to appreciate it. I was fortunate enough to see one today at Ferrari of Long Island. Its on the showroom floor and is black. I got weak knees looking at it and crawled around on the floor in my dress slacks checking out the flat bottom and the rear diffusers. The car simply looks a hundred times better in person than it does in photos. The bodywork just seems to flow around and past the cockpit in a way nothing before it ever did. Our friends at Ferrari deserve the highest praise for developing this automobile. You might call it ugly today, but let's compare notes once you've spent some time walking around it. And if you should be lucky enough to get to drive one, please stop by and pick me up !

Yep, I still think there are many Ferraris that are better looking ... each to their own.

It definitely suits yellow, not red ... bit like the Ducati 999/749 that looks oh so good in yellow but bland and angular in red.

The looks are growing on me, and I would own one ... but please don't confuse that for me thinking it is beautiful ... now a P4 is beautiful, a 250 SWB, etc. not an Enzo or a McLaren F1 ...

Pete
ps: The Enzo does not need to be beautiful ... it has many, many other selling points ... just like the McLaren F1. Infact the Enzo could look like dogs balls and still they would sell every one :-)

"I can't understand how anyone can think this car was ugly when it first came out... "

I stand by this position (that is I think its ugly). It lacks the style and grace of both the 288 GTO and F40.

It really grew on me, I didn't like the first pics and I remember about 90% of us on here agreed. Just lately as I started seeing more pics did I really start liking it. I saw it in person for the first time Friday night and that just blew me away.

The spoiler will go up at a certain speed.
You must of had to RUN up that hill to get that photo of them on Wendover! :-)

Yea, he ordered Yellow seats, but when I spoke with him today he said he likes the ones that are in it now. "Yellow would have been clashing"

But yea, Ferrari did screw that up...

PS: I posted the rest of my photo's of the Enzo on my website. Large format for download. There is also a photo of me in the drivers seat! Fits like a glove! Im still gitty like a school girl!
Cheers

Johns
Trust me it does
for reference, if you happen to have it, check the Autocar Enzo Special
Chapter 4 aerodynamics
the spoiler is at its highest stand from 60 to 240 km/h, then it slowly comes down till the car reaches 310 km/h
This is the same for the flaps on the front of the car

Amir, nice pics. Thanks for sharing them.

I've always loved pictures on the street, rather than a brochure or track pics. It gives you such an appreciation of the cars size and looks when compared beside other cars.

Can you imagine the attention you'd get with this car.

Amir,
It'll be very easy for them to do an interior changeout (after all there's hardly any trim to change)....My father had the same thing happen on a Bentley he'd ordered. He actually wanted the color of the seats in the Enzo photo, and it arrived with a cream interior (beautiful, but not what he had ordered)....which is a real problem in a Bentley, there's a hell of a lot of dead cows inside that car.....He didn't make them change it out, but he got a significant discount off the price of the car.

cool shots... thanx for posting them...
WOW... as Jordan said, the thing looks time-warped travelling along with ordinary cars on ordinary roads... fantastic... like the sign most aptly says in the third shot... "foreign" indeed...
Thanx again..
Grant

hmmmm... if it wasnt impolite to the owner, that last shot could be out next photo caption pic... (:
