i emailed the dude. this is what they sent back. i thought it was rather unhelpful. it's the first time i've EVER run across someone unwilling to give out a VIN, and over the past six months i've easily inquired about 30-40 cars all over the country (and a bit in canada and europe). doody. |

doody - did you make an inquiry to get the extra info (or is it posted somewhere and I just overlooked it?) |

it's not an NA car. never titled in US. i would assume it hasn't had its conversion yet ($10K). <<< Information is provided to customers who have been qualified to purchase this vehicle. This Ferrari will most likely sell for between $110,000 - $118,000 USD. If this price is excessive for you please do not reply to this email. If you are qualified to purchase this vehicle please feel free to call with any questions you may have. VIN Number not supplied on EBAY to help keep down Vehicle fraud. If you are looking to check the vehicles history on CARFAX, there is no file for this vehicle because it has yet to be registered in the USA. >>> doody. |

The "FerrariFinder.com" website which posted this 355 also listed "550's from $110,000US" - seems they were all sold out of them though. Like all the other brokers and people in "the biz" they also claim to have F50's, F40's, et al. Seems they were all sold out of them too. I've driven a fly yellow and black F1 with 7K that can be bought at $135,000. I'd think that would be about as low as you can get at this point. VIN could show a salvage title... |

that's a really sweet price for a '99 with an F1. ultra-pristine, low-mileage '99s at dealers are going 140-150 (F1 at higher end). if this were an average car (average for Ferraris, that is) with 11K miles i think it'd be worth 135 easy. 130K bottom. why aren't the wholesalers swarming in the low 120s? i'd make sure you got serious info from the seller on the car (pictures, issues, etc.). maybe it's not an NA car - that would certainly explain the pricing. doody. |

It says "VIN: please request" -- are you saying that you did request the VIN and they wouldn't provide it? Not a good sign if so IMO -- make sure you know what version it is. |
