There is nothing wrong IMHO about adding a passenger mirror. It shouldn't harm the value at all. |

Lee, If there ever was a Californian sticker on my mirror, it's long gone. Sales brochures do not show the sticker on the mirror. Barry |

Does everyone's have that cheesy little "Californian" sticker on the top of it? It looks so...aftermarket. But that's a factory mirror? |

Peter, The passenger side mirror was a dealer-installed option that year. The current Vitaloni California mirror differs slightly from OEM in the base footprint and in the tint of the mirror glass. As far as function goes, I don't think you'll have too good a view. (The view with the driver's side California is bad enough!) The interior rearview mirror offers more of a view to the right-rear. 1) I believe the factory miirror for that year was a Vitaloni California (tear drop shape), still available. 2) If factory one is still available why change it? 3) Not unless you put covette mirrors on it, don't laugh I've seen it done.

I can't help you with #1 and #2 but I'll bet #3 is a big fat NO. |

My '77 308 does not have a passenger side mirror. I would like to add one. I have the following three questions: 1) Is there a factory mirror I should look for? 2) Is there an acceptable aftermarket mirror that would be respected if I add it to the car? 3) Would adding a mirror degrade the value at all? |
