here is my calculation again:

1979 Ferrari 308GTS. Carb, red.

25,000 Miles worth $ 30K
50,000 Miles worth $ 25K
75,000 Miles worth $ 20K
100,000 Miles worth $ 17K

So who is the idiot here, the guy that enjoyed 75K Miles more for $13K or the guy that puts his miles on the car when he drives it to the service?

When I was looking for my Boxer I came across an article that claimed anything over 800 miles a year for a Boxer was "high mileage" !

I totally agree with Dr Tommy. My 308 just turned 52,000 this weekend and it feels and runs better than ever before. I will have 100,000 on the car in a matter of years. I would not even consider a garage queen. I would much rather buy a Ferrari that has been driven, and has all the bugs worked out. When the cars are driven, they are usually maintained. That equals a healthy and happy Ferrari!

Several friends of mine have 308s; one GT4 has 141,000 miles, one GTB had 180,000 miles on it, and Clyde Romero had a 308 QV that he sold with 135,000 on it. THEY all said the cars ran perfectly.

Don't walk, RUN from those 308's that claim to only have 9,800 original miles!

My '78 is about to turn 94k soon. Ferraris, and all cars, are meant to be driven

Pete: From the dealers point of view, anything over 20,000 miles is high mileage.

While I disagree with them, I can't help but notice the prices that correspond to the mileage.....and MILEAGE ONLY!!!!!!!!

This appears to be true of most ALL Ferraris!!!!!!!

My '77 308 has 97KM / 60,500 miles. The engine has not been rebuilt. I just had a major service and my mechanic states the engine is quite strong. These miles represent about 195 miles per month of driving since new. Are the miles on the car too much in the big scheme of things? It could have 200K on it and I would still be happy with the car. Since I will be buried in this car (haha), selling it will never an issue for me.
