Alright, you convinced me: Next time I go on the track, I'll be wearing Alesi's gloves. But just once... |

Well like I say he never wore it, so from a collectors point of view it is only a REAL F1 Irvine helmet, but without racing history it's value is limited. But it is not mine to own, so back on the display wall it went. Rember things are ment to be used as intended from time to time; helmets worn, Ferraris redlined and only paintings get left hung on the wall! |

OHMYGOSHPETER!!! I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy. Forgive me for the replica thing. Absolutely outstanding that you have the real deal!!! And stunning, that you even dare to race with it. I would lock it up in a vault. I have a pair of Alesi's racing gloves, but would never dare to take them on a track. Good for you, you got more ba_lls than I... If I ever get a chance to meet you, I'll have to touch that holy relict.

No, it's not a replica - It is a REAL Irvine spare. It was not worn in a race by Irvine, but was on hand if he needed it. It was loaned to me by a Bieffe dealer. When I asked if I could buy it (particularly now that I have a personal history with it), well he just smiled and said it was not for sale :-(. |

No, that is a Eddie Irvine replica helmet. It is actually the newer model with the aerodynamic rim to force air into the engine intake. Remarkably it even has the Marlboro emblems. Perfection! |

Is that a Shumi-replica painted helmet you're wearing? I've seen some on eBay like at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2719095236

Thanks again Eric. I don't know why my link does what it does. And thanks everybody else, they are great shots and the photographer Norm Cabana (Head-On Photos) was so cool - some 3000 shots of the event in 6 hours and ready for pick-up that day. He had 50 of me and Gina (the 308) (possible tread: How many people name their cars). If anybody wants a larger higher-res versions, I'd be happy to pass them on. Just email me through my profile. |

Very nice pictures, Peter! Looks like you had a blast. Beautiful job on the 308 too! With regards to the image posting: Double-clicked on each of your image uploads which launched a program I use called Conversions Plus. Apparently F-Chat stored the upload as an .unk file due to their sizes. Next, I double-clicked on the "converted" .jpg file which launched the image in Microsoft's Photo Editor. From there, I selected Image / Resize which displayed the actual image length x width. Each image was slightly larger than the max. allowed 640 x 480 pix -- for example, image 1D3F6317.jpg was sized at 650 x 435 -- so I resized each to a max of 640 and saved them to a temp folder. Finally, I re-uploaded them in a new post. I think the image size was the problem, like Rob had mentioned. Talk about going around your elbow to get back to your behind, -eh?!

Are the photos you're trying to post stored on your C: hard drive? Save a photo someone else has previously posted to your C: drive and then try posting it yourself -- just a suggestion. |

Make sure the jpeg size is less than 640 pixels wide x 480 pixels high (at least I think that's the rule). Rob L. -- the image size restriction isn't shown in the Help/Instructions? |

Last year I bought my 308, six weeks later it was wrecked. Well after a lot of work, time, finding sources, the talents of Frank Zucchi for body work, and Mark Spencer (owner of VELOCE Speedesign) for 30K service and much more the car was finally used as planned. I had a great time and I'm so proud of the car and the help of my friends. After the car gets cleaned up I will adorn it with well earned fender shields.
