BUT!!! Hotwheel will be selling a yellow 2003 Murcielago along with there ENZO..

Real cool!

apparently, the hot wheels brand is focused on cars, including cool cars and concept cars. the matchbox brand is mostly rescue vehicles and trucks and stuff like that. they're still doing the transition to clarify/clean up the two brands.

Matchbox are based on production cars only and Hot wheels are production and concept cars

mattel owns both hotwheels and matchbox. in general, the matchbox cars are a little more detailed and thus slightly more expensive.

I thought Matchbox is now owned by Mattel, thus making it a Hot Wheels.

It is a collectible. It's worth what you paid for it, minus depreciation.

Ok, folks... (it's not enough that i have my own chat section, i need to post in yours, too...:-)) Anyway, here's my question... Over the weekend, i found myself in a department store... i figured i might as well check out there Hot Wheels/toy section (ok, so i was in the department store just to check out the toys, big deal!) and my eyes drifted into the Matchbox section of things... Well, much to my pleasant surprise, i found a 1:59 silver Ferrari 360 spider... Is this a collectible...? i checked the copyright on the back and it's 2002... The car is # 7 of Matchbox's Hero City collection... Do i have a cool & rare collectible or did this just slip out while Hot Wheels was still working with Ferrari for exclusive rights...? Legal input would be great, but any input is usually cool... Thanks everyone... :-)
