It will kinda be funny when I tell you. The first driver of the car couldn't of done any better with it. A season championship, numerous wins, and international exposure. The second owner, well, at least he had fun with it!  By the time of your picture the previous owner was racing a 360 and is in your pic too. | ||

    Here a few pictures from the US GP 2000 in Indianapolis. Notice the mixed field they were running that year. The 355 had no chance and were in their own class running behind the 360s. Tricky weather conditions though. | ||

Michael, These books are quite often auctioned at ebay. Got my one from www.ebay.de as well. If I should see it myself at ebay germany once again I will contact you. Rob, Michael, It�s a book package made by Auto Becker, the famous Ferrari dealer here in Germany. Actually it was made as a birthday present for Ferraris 50th anniversary and contains two books (Main book: 560 pages, smaller one covers special and famous models in profiles and has around 170 pages). You could never buy this one at a bookstore and actually it was only printed in german languade. Still one of the best books I have about F topic. Name is: Hommage an einen Mythos, 100 Jahre Enzo Ferrari, 50 Jahre Ferrari. It has 560 pages full of absolute stunning pictures about virtually every Ferrari related event (Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, Pepple Beach, Challenge Series, Formula One, 50th anniversary of Ferrari celebrated in Rome etc.etc.) There are around 20 or more pages about the challenge series from 93 till 98 with the final results of each year. Scanning everything would be great. Let me know if that won't work and I'll provide my address. Where did you buy the book from? What's the name of it? Author? I think once I can officially announce which 355 C I'm getting then the pics and info will start flowing in. However, for right now I'm just trying to compile all the 355 Challenge results in North America. Jon Koford might not be in there, he'll pipe up, but I think he bought his Challenge car to race in the series, but then decided against it and has just used it for a track car. I found thousands of pics and results last night browsing the web from 2001 on, but nothing exists for pre 2001. I'll post those 2001+ plus links tonight. | ||

Especially the car from Bernd Hahne and I even think some of Peter d�Costas car. Could post you the pics and the results for sure. Hope to get the things scanned this night. Rob, I have just bought a book in which all results of all Ferrari challenge series worldwide are mentioned. Sadly just from 94 till 98 so you will still miss the 99 and 00 results. I've looked all over the web for hours and can't find any 2000 and earlier Challenge results unless they are international or the 6 hour Homestead Enduro. I'm looking for NA results. If anyone has printed results, that would work, I can provide a fax number. Unless the results are in Cavallino or Forza, then I'll have it. Just haven't looked through all the mags yet. Thanks. |
