11 week old Doody! Congrats. I had a mental picture of you being 70 drinking congac and smoking Cohibas. Must be the "Mr" in your name. I have a 12 week old St. Bernard and I am finding myself taking taking him out at 3 or 4 am every night so I know what you mean about the lack of sleep. Hopefully mine will outgrow that in the next few weeks! Eagerly awaiting the 355-550 comparison!

Another possibility I would highly recommend is Luciano Sanzogni who is an independent mechanic in Sarasota. Luciano is a former Ferrari factory employee and worked on the F1 team for many years before moving to this country. In fact Enzo picked him to work on development of the Dino and his son, who is also a master mechanic is named Dino. This is where Paul Sloan and I, along with many others, have their cars worked on. Very thorough and honest.

Thanks for the quick response guys. The F355 thatI am referring to is in fact the one at Naples Motorsport. Subsequent to their recent price reduction from 118K to 115K, I have shared information with them regarding my search. With the economy in its current state, it seems as if there is quite a bit of downward bias in the market. I have it narrowed down to two 355 Spiders, and as a bona fide buyer the deal seems to get a little sweeter every day. Should have a deal consumated soon. You guys a great. I have been following posts on this site for 4-6 months and the knowledge shared has been priceless.

Doody...I think the car that P. Thomas is referring to is the one for sale at NaplesMotorsports.com -- it's a beauty.

P. Thomas -

Last Dec I bought my 97 355 Spider from F of SFO. Asking was $125 and paid $115. This car is in concourse condition. All books & records from day one - one owner car purchased and serviced by same dealer. I also negotiated as part of the deal a fresh 30K service and a 1 year, no mile limit, warranty good at any F Dealer. During the 30K they noticed a "possible" crack in one header and changed both of them with the newer version.

If they can provide you documentary evidence of the 30K itemizing exactly what was done..it's more than just changing belts..then IMHO $105 - $110 sounds reasonable. Can't say more without seeing the car.

Shelton is great. They are like no other dealership I have ever experienced and will continue to get all my business post warranty. BTW - I think I may have looked into this car during my initial search..is it the one with the aftermarket wheels?????

Greetings fellow F-car owners. I am looking to purchase a 1998, F355 in the Naples Florida area. Does anyone know of a good shop/mecahnic to perform a thorough PPI? I have been watching the 355 market closely and appear to have found a fair deal: 1998 355 Spider 9K miles, black/tan, 30K completed, with Tubi installed, 110K to 115k. Does this seem reasonable?
