Hi Paul and Jay are both correct. The GT4 original muffler fits tighter to the shape of the car, much nicer look IMHO. But either will fit. I would love to get an original but the budget makes me wait. First picture is of non-original muffler, others are of original.

Oops. Just noticed you were replying to Stu. But Classic Coach is a great source for NOS exhaust systems for all models for anyone else who might be searching. Barry |

Greg, The last time I was at Classic Coach (Elizabeth, NJ) a few weeks ago, one of the technicians gave me a full tour of their spare parts depot, which included row after row of NOS mufflers. Try giving them a call at (908) 352-3939. Ask for Rocco. Barry |

The reason why I mention the angle is because Gerrit mentioned his is from a GTB and doesnt look right, sticks out too far and so on. |

Peter let us know, looks like we could all put it to good use. Maybe we can draw straws? |

The condition is very good. No 'bottom out' dents. It will be off my car in about two weeks (going through the gearbox at this time). I will have no use for it. With the new exhaust, I look forward to posting a few pics to see what ya 'all think!

Angle should be fine Paul. From behind the fire wall a GT4 is virtually identical to a GTS/B. |

Peter, I've got a '77 308 with a muffler that's starting to develop small holes in the bottom right side. I was thinking about my options when your post showed up. What kind of condition is it in? Andy |

Jay, I think the tips will stick out too far on the GT4 as well as the angle will be wrong being from a GTB/S so you will still have the wrong one. I on the other hand wouldnt mind it if you bail. |

Peter is it in good condition? I have an injected muffler for my GT4 but I don't think it will bolt up. I was going to look for a carbed exhaust for it. How much do you want? Got any pictures? |

I will be replacing the stock muffler on my '77 308 with a custom tuned exhaust (by Wayne Hynes of SR Exotics, Livermore,CA). I will be happy to give the muffler to someone that may need one for their car (not intended for someone that wants to resell it, please). I should have it off the car in about two weeks. Please let me know! Peter |
