L Wayne's post made me go 'DOAH!' as well; that car has been mentioned before! I say now it's worth $19k. Still may be a good deal for someone but they'd better know what they're getting. Yet another 308 that was owned by someone who couldn't afford to keep it in the condition a Ferrari deserves. |

I bought mine with 58k on it from an authorized dealer. The car has been beautiful. Nick at Forza says that if maintained the engines will go twice as many miles or more without needing a rebuild. I have had no problems with plastic knobs or anything else for that matter. I would not be afraid if the car has documented care. At least with 80k you will know that it actually has 80k rather than a car with 27K that actually has 120K. Another thing cars that sit have many more problems. I think that car is a steal at $27K if its up to date. Especially with the recent rise in QV prices. |

Come on, Eldon. If you're ever going to post, now would be the time. You're not going to let Matt get away with that one, are you? |

Just do like me and hold out for a 308GTS with 150,000 miles, lots or rust, major engine work needed, etc. Then you can buy it for $5000. Of course it will become a lifetime project, but you can decide on your own time whether to put more money into it or not. But all the while, you will be a genuine Ferrari owner. Just don't tell anybody that it never moves under it's own power. As soon as I find a car like that, I will consider it.

You're willing to pay more than me. See my post on the technical forum in regards to the "records" on the car and you may lower your willing to pay price. |

I was looking at that car too. I was thinking 26-$27k is the most I'd pay if everything was in order. Any car with that mileage will have lots of little plastic parts that need attention as well as more important things that are just worn out. |

If the car comes with records of regular maintenance, there is no reason to not get it. Make sure the clutch, Belts, and water pump are fresh. Those are the money repairs. Ask about oil leaks. If it is leaking from the cam seals it will need to get fixed at that involves a timing belt replacement $$$$ |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6212&item=2409874116&rd=1 Other than the obvious questions regarding the maintenace and car of the car, do I even want to consider a 308 with 80K miles on it? Provided it's been well cared for, I've read where these cars are still good even with that kind of mileage. The obvious + side is that the purchase price will be significanly lower than a 30-40K vehicle, however that could be eaten rather quickly by having to fix old stuff. Feedback appreciated.
