Andy, you are partly correct. Some people aren't there for the cars. however, some people (like me) are. Like all "markets" some things are over-priced, some are correctly priced, and some are actually under-priced. Some people there do seemingly silly, but highly entertaining things, others are f-car, or other make nuts enjoying being kids in a candy store. Can you get burned there? Sure. Can you find good value and have fun, too? Sure. Unless you've been there and can speak from some direct personal experience how 'bought being less judgemental, huh. |

Thanks to events like Barrett-Jackson, some of us will get more money for our cars than they would otherwise. The people who buy at auctions like B/J aren't there for the cars, they're there for the trip. Not for me. Like I really want some a**hole putting his arm on my shoulder and whispering in my ear "c'mon, you've got him now, he won't go the next $1000, you've got him on the run, go ahead and show him you're the man". Yeah right. |

It should be fun to see so many heavily overpriced exotics/classics. I may bring and register my 2001 NSX-T but I understand it is a 10% sell fee! Yikes, I don't feel like paying 7k just to sell it there. Anyone else thinking of selling or buying a car there? |
