Jason... I was just in Italy a few months ago... at just about every street vendor, they had these shirts, plus a lot more "ferrari" parephrenalia... I bought a team shirt just b/c it looked good...cost me $12 there. Also got a Ferrari Scarf/banner ($6). Knockoff stuff... but just fun to have.

Just wear it or hang it up. Who cares, right? No one is going to give you a hard time if you step out of a Fcar wearing that! :-)

Hey Jason, that is a good looking shirt! Just hang it up, or wear it and enjoy it!

I'd agree with all that has been written before. This is certainly not a factory endorsed product. I saw these shirts for sale outside Milan train station last year. It looks like a nice shirt though and is probably worth what you paid. It's just a bit annoying when things like this are sold as the real thing. I bought a team shirt a couple of years ago from eBay that I knew was a fake evenm though the seller claimed it was real. I bought it because it was a good fake and it was cheap!

Yeah Jason this is not official but there was an official one which is similar, a few years ago.
The half of the t-shirt is a checkered flag an the other half is red with the Scuderia Ferrari emblem.
Anyway this is a nice one. Wear it!

Yeah I see it now. I still would have paid double for it. I just really like it. But I think you are right. I may wear it now then instead of putting it away. Thanks.

Jason, hate to break it to you, but I'm 99.9% certain that it's a knock-off, and not a particularly good one at that. When I was in Italy last fall, there was a LOT of ersatz Ferrari-branded stuff available, some of it around Maranello, and a whole bunch of it was being sold by guys walking around the Tutte Le Ferrari a Misano event.

How can you tell?

1. The "Ferrari" isn't in the usual Ferrari font.

2. The shield lacks the "S.F." on the bottom, and the shape of it is wrong - take a look at the real one, and you'll see that the Italian colors on top are always linear with one point, while the top of the shield under the colors is a curve; yours appears to be flat along the top (hard to tell).

3. World Champion? Why would it be in English?

4. All Ferrari clothing for the last couple of years have been exclusive to FILA. This isn't a FILA shirt.

Still, it's a decent looking shirt. But the guy was lying when he said it was factory authorized. It's not tough to make up anything you want these days, with computers and scanners and automated silk-screening machines.

Sorry if I burst your bubble, but if you like it, hey, $25 is not a bad price to pay for a shirt you like.

vty,

I went to the Portland Swap Meet today and I bought everything I found that had to do with Ferrari, which wasn't much. However I bought this shirt which is more like a sport jersey and the guy said it was a factory authorized shirt. It was brand new and I really liked it, so I paid the $25 right there. I would have paid double that. Anyway my question is, what is it? I have never seen this design before. It is a World Champion shirt so is it rare, or worth anything? I was just going to hang it on my wall in my office, but if anybody has any info on it I would appreciate it. Thanks.
