What is the factory owners site? I called FNA and because 512bb were never US cars, they have no records of them. Also, I will check with Gerald at FML.

Do you subscribe to the Ferrari Market Letter? If so, I would call Gerald Roush and see if he has any records for the car. He is generally very helpful.

You know, Doug, you might be able to track the car forward from birth by enlisting the help of the factory Owners site. I'm not sure, but they seem to have extensive records available to them. Last year I called Prestige on a TDF Blu 550 they had. They represented it as the wrong year, then claimed that they had meant another car (same vin!!) etc. Scary!

Thanks. I was also hoping that maybe this guy had been part of a club or been to events down there and someone on this board knew of the car. I guess the history isn't super critical tp the car because it just had a complete engine/trans rebuild to the sum of $35k from Norwoods Also had a bare metal respray, all photo documented. Regardless of what had been done to the engine in the past is of little value, because it is now pretty much brand new. It just would have been nice to know the ownership history.

Doug,
might as well forget that!

After more than 3 years I am still waiting for my 2nd set of keys and the manual for the 348 I bought.

Prestige is a bad seed in the exotic car business if you ask me. You rarely hear good things about them.

besides they do not know squad sh#t of what they are doing. Most of the sales people have never driven a Ferrari let alone owned one to be helpfull in your search and questions you may have.

Do I sound frustrated??? :-)

You could try talking to Irv David but you will probably get no help at all. They are the rudest buch of people i have ever dealt with. Very little knowledge of waht they sell and not real interested in knowing any more. Good Luck

I am trying to find some history on my 512bb and I am stuck at Prestige Motorcars who sold it to the previous owner in 2000. Prestige is of no help and all I have is a tag receit that was for P.Lupinacci from the 80's. Prestige told me some italian guy traded or sold them the car. That is all they would tell me. The car is an '81 Boxer carbed, #35649 and used to be red with black Boxer trim. Anyone have contacts with Prestige that could help, or know of this car?
Thanks
