drive it in, get a push start to save the clutch, then hop out the window. It's pretty wide inside. |

Congrats Rob that is really cool..the car and the trailer. So do you drive the car in the trailer or push it? If you drive it, how do you get out of the doors? Also, if you need help doing anything with it let me know. I need a hobby! |

Here's soon to be FerrariChat.com trailer. I will remove the High Desert Racing logo and add the FerrariChat.com Race Team logo. These pics were from the ad. For all those coming to the track events, it has AC, heater, awning, cabinets, wheel racks, and a few other little things.

OK, I should wait until I get quality pictures, but here you go. My friend had borrowed the digi and these were with a throw away and came out really bad. Should have good pics within a week.

Here's the two 1:18 models Hot Wheels has done for 104504. The yellow being Earles paint scheme and the silver being the current scheme from Martinez. The sivler model has the #7, which I don't think it ever was in that color. I think it was always #50 in the silver, but pretty cool anyway.

Pictures didn't come out very well on the throw away camera. I'm debating whether to even post them or not. I'll have to make a Kinkos trip and scan them. I may just take good pics next week after I get my digi back. Good news, I found a great trailer. 24 foot enclosed Pace trailer with many more options than I wanted, but the price was right. It already has $2,000 worth of Ferrari graphics on it too! I wasn't planning on putting anything Ferrari on it as to avoid trouble, but I'll have to keep these graphics as they're nice. Aero front, fully lined, cabinets, wheel holders, heater, and AC! I'll get it next week and post pics along with the car pics.

I signed the paperwork last night and took several pictures. My friend has my digi, so I took pics with a throw away and need to get the filmed developed and scaned, it might be a couple days before I can post them. The car is gorgeous. Inside and out pristine condition. Racing is very hard on a car, but this one only had a couple races after it's last rebuild with new body and all. The car looks like it could be a 95+ point concours car. A bonus I found while looking it over last night is it has a data acquisition system. I'll have a blast with that! I've always thought my computer skills would be good doing D.A. stuff for a race team. Maybe I'll learn on my own car and then volunteer my services out to get free trips to races. I'll post the pics as soon as I can. Next steps in the plan. 1) Buy enclosed trailer. 2) FoD will install the SCCA legal cage and adjust my seat. 3) Pick up car and have private test session at MSR. 4) Start putting sponsor graphics on and install passenger seat and belts. 5) Track it! 6) Race it! |

There will be in car videos for everything. The car will participate in as many events as FerrariChat.com can afford and my vacation schedule will allow. At minimum I want to go to Cavallino and FCA Nats in 2004. Membership at MSR for monthly runs and the FoH events at TWS are a definite too. I will also show the car at several car shows. I'm working with a potential corporate sponsor right now where not only can they bring clients and employees out for rides, but the car can be used for displays. Running in car video tape on a nearby tv and all. I think the meat of the sponsorship will come from the users that just think it's cool for $250 and small businesses that can expense $1,000 and get something really cool in return too. |

quote:just need some feedback here on the sponsorship program
My $0.02:Participation in events that attain exposure to the buying public for the corporate sponsors, including press releases? For individuals, perhaps just basking in the glow of your car at an event is enough, perhaps posting video clips here showing the sponsors reactions to ridding shotgun on a hot lap? |

Rob, for me the reason of not participating is money. I think by far, that's the biggest reason. For me, 19, student, need I say more ? I would be interested in buying a Fchat challenge race shirt, $250 would be a bit to much money for a shirt Maybe some different shirts for sponsors and just for Fchat members ? Tshirt only sponsors ? Just an idea that fits in my street ps. Good luck with the races, sponsors etc. I hope you won't make any loses by this superb idea. |
