I wrote some info regarding the setup and I must say you haven't seen the light till you had a proper HID set put in your car, although there has not been a true legal one set up yet although Sylvania had made a few street legal ones I have not seen and HID bulb and housing for a 308 328 set up yet. But there is one combo which will at least double the performance of the one you currently have so you can bet you're missing out on what you could be having. I have installed several types of automotive lighting in the thousands so I have the hands on experience on what works the best and what doesn't. But to finally add, if it's good enough for you then settle for it, if you can afford the upgrade, well, you can fill out the experience on that one... |

Although the thread is now in the Technical Q&A archives, I thought I'd post here for any who were interested. This is a $110 headlight upgrade. (The stock lighting on 308s leaves much to be desired.) Basically, you need new xenon-halogen bulbs, new housings, and a direct-to-battery, fused, relayed wiring harness, and you're good to go. Should take one to three hours depending on how quickly you work. The difference in the car with the new headlights is night and day. Driving at night now is really, really fun! With the high beams on, it may as well be daylight. The quality and feel of the light itself is completely different from the original stock lamps... Definitely recommended. Special thanks to Mike Charness and Dr. Tommy Cosgrove for all of their help in getting this set up. Here's the thread. Let me know if I can help out with any questions. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/217706.html?1049779820 --Mike ...Off to Vegas (my first time!) |
