I'm a newbie... but I removed the floormat before posting this question. My '79 308 suffers from what appears to be a fast idle condition. When I start the car, it seems to idle about 1100 RPMS- great. After a couple of minutes, it seems to go up to 2000RPMS. It stays there at idle. I drove all over town today, and it idled at 2000RPMS repeatedly. It could be related to my choke. The upper right yellow light on the dash is stuck on. I use the choke to warm the car up when its cold, and the movement of the choke lever definately engages and disengages the choke, as you can watch the RPMS change, but maybe it not completely disengaging the choke, since I've never seen the light go off when the cars running. If this could be the problem, where on my car is the sensor for the choke? Opinions? Thanks a bunch. Lee
