Enzo is awsome in the front and the back, but from the side it needs help, roof lines too high and those up curve windows dont fit at all. Gross, other than that COOL!! my 2 cents

You're right, Arlie, the politically correct way of thinking would lose that bet, but the politically correct way of thinking will keep my mind open and has taught me never to stereotype, etc... :-)

DES, I define a car person as:

someone who buys car magazines at a grocery store. (how many women do that?)

someone who ENJOYS prowling through old salvage yards.

someone who knows what a carburetor is. (you mean there was something BEFORE fuel injection?)

someone who ENJOYS browsing through an auto parts store even when you have nothing that you need to buy.

someone who appreciates a 4 cylinder Crosley engine as much as a 12 cylinder Ferrari or a V16 Cadillac or Marmon. (assuming the person in question could tell the difference between them in the first place.)

Someone who knows that a 6 point socket is better than a 12 point socket because it won't slip off the nut as easily.

Or someone who knows that a 13mm socket will substitute for a 1/2 socket if you're in a pinch.

Etc. You get the idea.

James, there is always an exception to every statistic, but if you had to bet your $1000 bill on whether most car buffs are men, women, black, white, young, old, or whatever; I know where I would put my money every time. You have to go with the best odds and I don't think that it is being a racist or a stereotypist to think that most car people are older white guys who can afford to play the game. For every one girl that I've ever seen twisting wrenches on a car, I've seen 500 guys twisting wrenches. For every girl that I've seen buying parts at a swap meet or a salvage yard; I've seen 1000 guys doing the same. It may sound politically correct to think otherwise, but if you bet your money on that kind of thinking, you will lose.

There are women who own 250GTO's. There's one woman who vintage races her's. Today the #1 golfer is black and the #1 rapper is white. As Bob said:"The times they are a changing..."

But of course those 250 GTO owners were all men. No women among the group. Does that make me a chauvanist if I notice that fact? Or must I be politically correct and wear blinders when it comes to certain facts, lest I be labled a "stereotyper"?

Michael
The following gentlemen own 250GTO's, each one of which is worth approx $9 million US. Several of them own 2 examples. The last time I saw them they looked Asian to me.
Takeo Kato
Mr. Okamoto
Yoshijuki Hayashi
Yoshiho Matsuda
Anthony Wang
Patric Ma
Mr Lee
Donald Fong (Recently sold)
Mr Okata, another asian Gentleman I knew owned a 250LM and the 330TRI/LM that sold at auction last year for $6,490,000.
BTW Takeo Kato paid $17,000,000 for his GTO. (sold)

Let's face it, most ferrari owners are white men in their 40s, 50s or older. This is even more true when it comes to more expensive ferraris like F40s, F50s, enzos etc. If you don't agree with me, find me some asians, black men or other people in the minorities that drive expensive ferraris like the ones i mentioned

Jim, a decent number of people who own cars like this fit that profile though. The ones who dont are probably rock stars/actors/pro athletes, internet millionaires (not anymore), and lucky entrepreneurs. im not saying its good to generalize, but the owner is about 50 or so, he was at lime rock this summer in his F40. stereotypes exist for a reason, more people of a certain group are perceieved of fitting a description than those who dont. note that i used the word percieved, as im against stereotypes.

Yes, please: 4 different 3 quarter shots, from all four corners of the car along with SO MANY OTHER SHOTS, everyone else will start to get sick of the car... If you'll have doubles developed and send them to me, snail mail, i'll throw you a couple of bucks (+ whatever the doubles & mail costs)... :-)

Des, I described a bit of the ride on my website, but I'll include some more, just for you lol:

Getting in the car for the first time is NOT easy, its pretty similar in difficulty to a Lamborghini Countach, You have to put your butt on the door sill, pump yourself into the seat sideways then throw your legs around. After 2-3 times it gets much easier.

The seats are snug, I'm 6'1 160 and it fits me perfectly. They are, hands down, the most comfortable racing seats I have ever sat in.

In the car, there isn't too much to play with from a passengers point of view, no electric windows, no radio (besides the monsterous V12 behind you), etc.

I was too busy thanking the owner and thinking, "wholly I am in an Enzo!" to really concentrate on the ride. He got on it a couple of times- nothing too serious- but it is hands down the fastest car I have ever been it. I plan on getting some video over the weekend for you.

Has anyone gotten any good shots of the carbon tub? I'd like a better look at it's construction.

PS: car looks totally sweet, love the ajustable pedal box, and the steering wheel would be gimacky coming from any other manufactuar, but Ferrari gets it right. (F1/champ car style.)

Traction Control <click> OFF! :-)

Best!

well its growing on me. I like the nose better than the F50. It really needs a wing like the F40 & F50. I dont care for Ferraris new anti wing stance. The ground effects on the 360 Challenge cars just are not up to the task, I imagine they are better on the Enzo but it looks like a bob tailed cat :-)

Worst part of the design is how the side windows curve upwards while the roof curves downwards, Rather awkward design similair to the old Lancia Stratos rally cars of the 70s. What was that japanese designer thining of when he drew that?

Ferrari needs a great Italian designer again

Tim,

If you notice the date, that was more than a year ago. And I no longer import JDM or European cars, for anyone.

Also, notice the last line: "This car will be brought to you by Pristine Performance, *JDM and Euro Importer*."

Can we stop whoring this guy's thread now? I would be happy to discuss this off the forum since this has nothing to do with the Enzo.

One question though, as pertaining to this comment: "...and JDM, a company that makes stuff for hondas..." Do you even know what "JDM" stands for? You can email that answer to me.

I just got back from ride in same car. Very special in person. Way cool mechanicals. Shock coolers, beautiful headers. Interior is more like an aircraft. Sound of engine beautiful above 4,000RPM below that as quiet as my Maser. Very low for street and with overhang you need to be very carefull not to bottom out. Normal suspention very stiff but fine. Good ventilation. Good visibility. Looking at it next to my MK-IV you can see it's racing heritage. It's a race car for the street not a GT car. No luggage space. In a few words? Fantastic! Very Special! The real Deal.

The window crank is different - it's the round disc with the knob on the lower front edge of the door. In the pic it's best located by following the horizontal stitching of the driver's seat backrest.

Also it seems like there's no "normal" driving mode - it's either "Sport" or "Race" !

I can just hear Homer Simpson saying "mmmm Race Mode mmmmm"

Evan, Rob,

Thanks, the car really is amazing. I believe I am going out tomarrow for a nice afternoon drive with a small group of F-cars. I'll get some more good shots. I am going to get alot of F40 vs. Enzo shots if possible.
