Hi...........

The large gaps at the top of the wheel wells of the Boxers are probably due to the use of non-standard tires and/or wheels. The cars were equipped with 15-inch wheels (metric size on some models) and 60-series Michelin tires (TRX on some models) and the wheel wells were designed to be "filled" by that combination. If you can see the shock absorbers, there is something wrong AND it is ugly !!

The problem: it is becoming more and more difficult to purchase tires in the original sizes and owners often switch wheels and tires to take advantage of new tire technology (low profiles, new tread patterns and compounds).

Don't worry Omar. At 170 mph it closes up pretty nicely. :-)

Not sure about the Barchetta. Looks fine! BOTH 365GT4 BB and 512BB have the gap, it must be the advantage of an A-Pillar/Bonnet. Though it could be a wheel/tire combination, both are outfitted with a 15" wheel sporting VR rated tires. It may be blasphomey, but to outfit the car with a 17 or 18" wheel with ZR tires may give it a different profile, prividing there is clearance.

do the rear of the 550 Barchetta and all of the 512BB (rear esp. though) have too much wheel gap. Don't get me wrong, I love those 2 cars....but something seems off to my eye. Now a lowered 512BB would look stunning I think.

Do you think its just the angle? Some pics I have seen of it, it looks fine, others (most notably the black 550B in Road and Track, it looks a little high.

(I don't want to waste server space with reposts of the same pic)
