Guys at Auto Toy Store are a piece of work. You walk in & they are all standing around with their noses in the sky looking like they are waiting for Hitler to appear.

Ron...I'd prefer the latter -- the car guy. Unfortunately, the "dealer" that sold me the 308 didn't appear to know squat about 308's, or any exotics for that matter. It was just another "high line" car on consignment, and he was only interested in moving it. Fortunately, I walked in with plenty of knowledge under my belt about 308's, and knew what I was looking for. It fit the bill, and he sold another car. So, as you can see, the experience was a little "cold" so to speak...sort of like buying the average used car at a used lot. Hopefully, my next exotic purchase will be either from an F-car owner or dealer / dealership (authorized or non). So far, I've been very impressed with Raymund (gen. sales) at FoCF in Orlando -- he is very knowledgeable, and loves to talk Ferraris...as well as others like Sean at Steve Harris Imports and Martin at Cavallino Motors. |

I do think its a little unfair to hit on the salesman if he doesn't know the ins and outs of a ducks arse with respect to the exact model F car you are thinkiing of buying! To be fair, you will likely have spent months researching the death out of the model you are interested in buying, including likely faults/idiosyncracies etc. |

Bud Root at Shelton Ferrari and for that matter the whole staff is extremely professional. Never once did they ask whether I could afford the car. They educated me in great detail about things I did not know. They were great on the test drive and that was before Bud asked whether I'd be interested in the 360. A totally great buying experience!! |

At the time I got my Acura RSX, I shopped around and I ran into a number of salespeople who didn't know, or didn't care about selling me a car, any car. I went to Nissan and Toyota and the individuals I dealt with treated me like a number, not a customer. It was a good thing I did my homework and researched the cars I looked at. They probably truly believe that a dope will walk in and take the first car at the first price! When I got to the Acura dealer, it was totally different. Very warm and friendly, and most of all, the salesman knew his product well. I wound up getting a good deal too, but the entire atmosphere was different. It was much more pleasant to do business with them. Granted, other dealerships may be totally different than what I encountered. Oh, the RSX is a lot of fun to drive, too (though not as good as a Ferrari). |

It always turns me off to talk to a salesman who knows way less about the car than I do. Dave |

When you were in the market of purchasing your cars, did you deal with the deal salesman that acts like he owns the dealership and his $hit doesn't stink. Or did you have the salesman that was the good old car guy that knew what he was taking about and actually told you something you didn't know about the car.. Everyone is different, so which type do you prefer to deal with???? Give me the car guy anyday..
