I started to get involved with a woman at christmas time but as the deal for the 308 progressed and the time to pick it up grew near I knew I wouldn't be able to spend the quality time with the car I wanted to and maintain a relationship at the same time. I cooled the relationship. The price of freedom and unstructured free time............and enjoying the hell out of it! DJ

No problem here. My wife read this letter to Dr. Ruth and figured, all in all, she would rather I be on F-Chat.

I let Melodie read these posts and she just about died laughing, especially the line about 'the dorky chat room'!

Yes, it chafes her a tad from time to time - pretty much only after 10:00 or when she wants a foot massage or something. The other day she (jokingly?) referred to this as "[my] dorky chat room." I find that they don't complain too much when you point out all the (cosmo, glamour, elle, vogue...) magazines all over the place. Also, no compalints when they're in the passenger seat...

"Fierochat"??? Oh my god! Isn't it a sin to say that??

I get the same thing btw - "Are you back on that site again? You just got off it 30 min ago.
Why don't you help around the house instead?"
or "I think you are bordering on obsession"

jeeeeez

I thought I was the only one that was married to a HGTV junkie?

Amazing, they can watch all those shows (btw - I hate Room by Room but the chick on while you were out is kinda hot) but damn me for speeding 6 hours on f-chat.

Art summed it up pretty well. I was lucky, I got my Ferrari after only 6 years of marriage, but had to buy the nice house and the fur coat first.

Reading this, I'm in disbelief! None of your wives/girlfriends support you!?

My girlfriend (and probably wife one day!) is very supportive of my hobbies, and I hers. If I felt ashamed for the money I spend on my fcar, or the time I spend on fchat, it would suck!

Why does it sometimes seem that all things ferrari are causes of tension in marriages?

My wife just shakes her head. She found out that I've got a 360 coming on FChat, I don't know how she got the address, but she did.

Yet to find that out yet...getting married in August, but she is an F-car fan as well as F-1, so I think I am safe house...or dog house-she understands my obsession of F-cars.

Just last night my wife says "good lord, you were just on there 10 minutes ago!" My reply.."hey, I could be out at a strip club"

LOL I was actually in the strip club last night :-O
never seen a club empty. Pass over has gravely effected the strip industry.

Might as well chat here...

This is a funny topic.... Even though I don't post much, I'm always looking at the other posts. My wife sees me and just shakes her head and laughs. I explained to her that if I'm not driving the car at that moment, I might as well be talking about it. If my kids are looking for me its in this order: The garage (to see if my car is there), at the computer, watching Fox news.....lol Oh yeah... I do go to work once in a while too.

I don'tknow about any trading spaces, but Trading Places was a hysterical movie. 'The Dukes are trying to corner the Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice market! They must know something!' :D

I'm afraid my wife can only BARELY tolerate me being on FChat. I'm supposed to be downstairs with her watching "Trading Spaces" - I HATE that show!!!

I'll be interested to see the response to this one.

My gal's pretty supportive of it, in general. She knows it's the only reason why my 308's still running.

That said, lots of guys I went to college with got swept up in EverQuest (aka EverCrack), a very immersive (and addictive) online role-playing game. Friends lost friends, lost girlfriends, lost their way in school.

Fortunately, FerrariChat is nowhere near as addictive, and though there's a social element, it's ultimately practical! :-)

My girlfriend is now telling me that she is a FChat widow. She always catches me on line reviewing posts, writing new posts, clicking on links, etc. Do any of you guys have this problem?
