Wow! Two ferraris, that's better than one.

Congratulations! I have the same one, except black and with a few more miles, 348's are great. Enjoy!

Have held my breath all day.(I think things shrunk a little instead of got bigger) I do feel much more confident doing a little research with the past owner and Ferrari of Denver. Plus a little help and information from Chris on this site. Risk is not all that bad. Is it? We shall see. My sons are placing dibbs on which one they drive on which day. I just may be able to get my wife to accept that I actually NEED two Ferraris! It just may cost me another 5-10K for a new wardrobe.

J Scott,

Best wishes on your new acquisition. I have to hand it to you - stepping up and bidding over ebay. Will you have enough room in the car for you AND your ba**s ?!!?

J Scott,

Welcome: You are now owner of a wonderful car. Absolutely the best value for money Ferrari by far at the moment IMO.
At least I love my 348tb (1990) very, very much! Lots of power even for current standards on a german Autobahn with no speed limits :-)
Well service is not cheap but hey its a Ferrari. Do I need to say more? (Clutch, cambelts etc.)

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. A fairly good price even for german standards!

Thanks Dave: I have the carfax as well. In addition, I spoke with Ferrari of Denver and they were familiar with the car (very helpful folks). I had the dealer get an emissions certificate to help my concern and it was just faxed to me. Car passed with flying colors. Doesn't mean much but an indication that things are probably as stated. The past owner was most helpful and had nothing to gain by telling me what he knew about the car.
Thanks all, I hope I like the 348. I know I love the 328!

I ran a carfax, the mileage seems to accumulate reasonably. Car was originally in FL, then LA, then Penn, then CO. It was listed by Cars.com in Nov 02 with 20k miles....everything else looks clean. Trust carfax only so far......

Well, at least I spoke with the prior owner and he loved the car. No major problems, just didn't drive it much and has a TR. Owned it for 8 years. I'm very relieved! Service is scheduled for this summer!

Modman: Yes, surprised myself. Made a bid on a bit of impulse, now I bought a 348. Already contacted my service guy and have a major scheduled. Can't get it done until later this summer so I guess the 348 will sit for a while. I spoke with Ferrari of Denver who had done the 15K and they had some good information. Feel a little foolish though, didn't get a PPI. I'm not very familiar with the 348 but I will be now! Want to keep the 328, have to convince my wonderful wife that it is an "investment"!

I actually was in Denver last weekend and sought out this car. The interior was decent, except for that Box, but it looked like it was just set in the console. The body looked pretty straight but there was a retractable antenna drilled into the rear passenger side. The scary part is no belts done, and they did not know about the clutch. Also some ugly damage on the driver side strakes toward the back of the door. It looked okay but I was scared. The guy said he wanted $59K. I guess that was quite a mark up over what he would take.

It may be overpriced in today's market. I would think that since it needs about 3k in cosmetics, it should sell for 45k.

I beleive that 348 has been on ebay quite some time. I remember seeing the Alpine LCD in the dash.

good deal if you ask me.
Needs a little help to look nice, lower part painted, top painted and whatever that thing in the center console is needs to be surgically removed.

Go for it!

Call Ferrari of Denver (303.730.7340) and ask if they have serviced it. The seller provided the VIN
