didn't the series fiorano have some sort of a suede leather steering wheel with the CF shift paddles? i wonder if it was expected that the drivers wear driving gloves to protect the steering wheel from getting dirty..

I, too, bought my car from Ralph Cestero @ FoW and have found everyone there to be wonderful. Parts, service, sales, the entire staff has been nothing short of excellent in all my dealings with them. First class guys, first class dealership.
Ralph worked with me for over a year to locate the exact car I was looking for.
Ralph, Redding, Joe, all are a pleasure to deal with.

I have bought 2 cars from Ralph Cestero this year, and am on the FoW list for two more cars. Very impressed with all aspects of the dealership and would recommend them, true enthusiasts as someone else said. I think the 355 you are looking at is a beautiful car, although I think I like the Boxer the best. Good luck.

PT, who is doing your work? Dealer or independant? We're blessed to have a handful of really exceptional independants in the Bay Area. Sorry for the OT chatter...

Their parts department has been very nice to me. They sold me some used (like new), inexpensive 355 parts that they had in stock, even though I was prepared to pay full price for new parts.

I have seen this car in person and it looks great, but didn't look it over as I would if I were interested. They definately have not had the car anywhere near a year as I have been in the showroom many times and just saw it for the first time about 3 months ago.Not sure about the color. It is one that looks great on someone elses car but not sure if I would pick it.They seem to be good guys, but there inventory is always low and prices are always high. The fiorano is nice with the additional carbon fiber interior, challenge grille and shields but not sure wat it is worth. I would guess in the 120 range with the f1. 8 months ago when Iwas looking I tried to buy a black one with 3500 miles for 138 and they wouldn't take it. WHEW!!

Philip, in the SF Bay Area i really do not have many choices either. F of SFO, Los Gatos F (now Bentley). Each Dealer is a little different, if you get negative feedback from a friend, ask them what they didn't like.

Well thanks for all your info. I might pursue this car a bit more...I'll be down in D.C. this weekend, so at the very least I'll see her in person. I live in Columbus Oh, we have MidWestern Auto Group.....it is an Authorized Ferrari Dealer....I've had bad experiences with them and my 348 and I haven't met anyone there that seems concerned/competant....I wish I lived somewhere with more options......There is also Evans Automotive, who is a "Ferrari Mechanic"...George is the owner, seems like a nice guy, but MANY people have warned me to stay away.....no personal experience, but LOTS of warnings.................

Oh, and don't forget, the Fiorano had the cool sheilds on the fenders. I have always like the sheilds, but to do it right (ie, fenders removed, stamped) is big $$$. Saw some "stick on" sheilds the other day. The thought seemed a little chessy. Doody, your thoughts??

Philip, don't let the fact that an F-car has been on the market for a "Long" time scare you into a paralysis. Ask the dealer and see what they say. Some Dealers offer cars on consignment and the seller is out of touch with the market so the car does not get sold. The other thing about F-cars, even in this economy if someone wants to "dump" the car, it will usually be the last thing they sell. .. There really are not very many fire sales. Shelton Ferrari had a 1997 Black/Tan Spider for a "long" time, they finally lowered the price to 115K and it sold in days.
I agree with Doody, it all depands on the pricing. Nobody wants to over pay for anything, but if you like the car, hammer out the best deal, ask for some feedback on price, and go driving...Spring is here and Summer is on its way.

the fiorano package includes some changes to the suspension and handling, an some interior tweaks (the steering wheel, etc.). you should check out the archives and the Forza 355 survey for further details.

if they've been carrying it for a year, it's probably because of mispricing.

i concur with p. thomas that the authorized shops do seem to, generally speaking, carry better quality cars and they do seem to take care of them better. they do have a reputation to protect, in theory. but you will pay for that benefit.

doody.

They have a 355 Fiorno .... very nice looking car. What exactly does the Fiorno Package entail? What do you guys think is a good price....I think it is a 1 owner car with about 5k miles....very pretty car.......you can check it out on line........but I think their dealership has had it for at least 1 year.....that worries me a bit....thoughts?

Philip, I spoke to F of W a couple of times in the past. They seemed like a very good out fit. In almost every instance, I saw more pristine examples at the FNA dealerships then at "Exotic car Dealers". They generally do not buy auctioned cars, and do all of the required service work so you may feel a little more comfortable.

The downside of course is you will be paying a premium, (hopefully just nominal).
