David, A friend put me in touch with Steve and after introductions Steve asked Michael to work with me. Michael did most of the work but then Steve is the boss and that's the way it should be. :-)

John - Rob Lay is the person we must appeal to for a separate section - In the mean time I keep an eye on the area by selecting "other areas" then "USA -Southeast" - Honestly, not many people use this section. If you were trying to organize something I do not how many locals would check there. Keep me on your list and let me know when you want to try - From past experience Greensboro usually is a good rally point in the State. No Mountain roads but not to far to get to from most points - Raleigh, Charlotte, Lenoir, etc.. Plus we can gather at one of the 3 dealers mentioned here as a Promo thing. Just ideas. By the way - when I was at F1 yesterday checking on Will - I noticed they have the 90 model 348. In addition I saw Keith - I think you caught him as he was leaving FCI and moving to F1 - maybe just bad timing back then - Either way just FYI - |

Congratulations to Will on his Challenge Car - beautiful Blue color - It was great to meet another F-chatter in person - I don't feel I was much help since you guys were already moving forward with your deal. Of course I will assist if you need any help with future items from the boys at F1. Enjoy the car and let me know the results from the track this week. As for F1 - I think they are moving in the right direction. The one guy that had a "slimey" feel was fired - The other guys appear to be trying hard to do things right. Since I was not the one buying maybe Will can confirm the good impressions first hand. Great Car Will !! |

Parts man - Can you confirm the information I stated on the F1 guys ?? I hope my information is accurate. Re: FCI - I meant to say that "fortunately" not all the salesman their are rude. Most are courteous but usually busy as Parts man said. Craig - Welcome to the club. Let me know when your back in town and we can round up a few others and have a drive. Did you deal with Steve or Michael ?? Both know their stuff.

I've recently purchased a car from Sport Auto (Steve Barney) after talking with them and after talking with F1. There was something about Sport Auto that felt different then F1. Sport Auto felt more like a bunch of Ferrari lovers who just happened to be selling them. F1 felt more like a dealership. I was able to get longer test drives at Sport Auto. When I picked up my car at Sport Auto it wasn't quite ready so they told me to go play in the new 512TR they just received. Of course now I was one of the family. :D I felt I could have bought a car at either place and felt good about it. I worked with Keith Knutsen as well, very nice guy and professional. That car was there when I was looking. Very impressive. |

Will - I hope all goes well also. The family and I are staying in town this weekend. If you want a place to clear your head during negotiations or need an escape for a meal let me know. I will even offer an opinion on the car if you ask ( That is if my wife gives me an opinion, ha-ha ) I do not see a Challenge car on their site - your sure it is in the building ?? E-mail me and I will give you my telephone numbers. Just an offer - If your allergic to kids I can keep them away, ha-ha.

Amir: I have been working with Keith Knutson, very professional and friendly, basically everything you'd want. David: Thanks for the offer! I've arranged to see the car tomorrow early afternoon - bringing my trailer down from DC, so I hope all goes well. As always, great responses from FChat, pretty amazing really. |

I have lived in Greensboro for a long time and I am a car enthusiast like others here. Over the years I have had dealings with almost everyone in the high line car business (in G'boro). WILL H: F1's salesman moved over from Foreign Cars Italia after approx. 7 years +/-. The main partners - 1 from NC coast, dealt in Acura or similar, other no past dealership experience. More available by e-mail. To soon to tell what direction the reputation will end up. Nice building with approx. 10-12 cars on site. I can go do a visual and drive if it will help you. I live 10 minutes away. AMIR: Are you close to G'boro ?? Just curious. JOHN R. - I feel your pain - Unfortunately not all the guys there are like that. I can probably guess who you were trying to work with. I can help with a name and stop by the dealership if you would like. No affiliation !!!! More by e-mail if requested. ALL: As a North Carolinian I find it kind of funny the number of F-cars in this region as well as the number of dealers. http://www.foreigncarsitalia.com http://www.sportauto.cc/ http://www.f1import.com All 3 within 15 minutes of each other and a population around 300,000 city proper. |

John, have you found FoA's prices to be a little on the high side? I've been looking for a 355 and by some of the prices FoA has been asking, they are very proud of thier cars...just my opinion. |

I dont know about F1 But I am buuying mine from Ferrari of Atlanta because the sales people at Forign Cars Italia were RUDE to me!!!!! Seriously, I went there three time and the sales guy would not ever talk to me outside the office. They NEVER once returned my calls or emails. I got the feeling that they just did not believe I was a serious customer..... Oh Well, there loss is FAF's gain. DrS |
