Wow - you guys were right in my old haunts, how cool! I grew up in the blight called Chehalis, but my family owns a lot of property in LaConner. My uncle and his family still live there, my grandmother lives there, and my sister lives in Bellingham right off the lake near Chuckanut Drive! I shot my first film in LaConner and Whidbey Island. I visit both LaConner and Bellingham every year at Christmas and love it up there - really great area. Now I find out parades of Ferrari's are cruising through - excellent!

Looks like a great time - keep it up!

Best,
~Chris

I have some of the Lanka stuff Mike, but I don't have the right paint for it to work. You can only use real touch-up paint, I have the paint in the can from a body shop. Takes way more time for it to dry before you can us the Lanka...I just figured, "forget it". I use a 00 brush and am very careful.

By the way, the best stuff I've seen for making rock chip repairs virtually invisible,
is the stuff from www.Lanka.com

Worth checking out...

That was my red 360 by the mall (Bellevue Square)
I just recently joined the FCA and unfortunately missed the La Connor drive. Had to spend Easter in Kauai with the better half:-)
I'm hoping to be able to join the rest of the group down in Olympia this coming saturday for the annual meeting. So far my only contact with members is with Dr Shelbie, Willis Huang, and emailing with Martin down in Portland. Good people all of them!

He parked at the other end of town I think...just came over to see everyone else's car.
I made the announcement for the picture too late, and some people didn't hear...

You guys may not believe it but I live on Chuckanut Drive, and I just happened to pull out and head into Bellingham just prior to the caravan. I wish I had known. My buddy and I were in awe and I own a Ferrari (not driving it Saturday)! I could see the smiles on everyone's face. Damn, I need to join the club!

June 14 and 15 at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver (I think). Talk to 75 308 GT4 (Peter), he lives there or Dave Handa. If I get my new wheels in time I'll go.

Willis, Ed even mentioned you in his email to me:

"...it got a lot of attention, even from some guy in a new 360 who was following me."

Sound like you guys had fun. Glad to hear it.

I drove behind the 330 for a while and it was a pleasure to see and hear it go. Going around the sharper corners didn't bother it much. Although there were a lot of driver and passenger body english coaxing it around the bend.

Thanks Gary. When I saw the pics last night I shot an email off to Ed and he confirmed this morning that it was his car. It's good to she that she's finally back on the road!

What a blast. Chasing 355's and 360's for an hour down a cliff-hanger road, top off and screaming Fcar (Tubi) sounds echoing through the trees, scaring the locals on Easter weekend. Had my 74 year old dad in the R/H seat as we hit 100 MPH a number of times. He remarked on the stability and ease the car handled the speed with an inevitable smile.
I heard of the blind man on the side of the road standing stone still listening to the sound of our 14 Ferraris buzzing by him in his small town. I was preoccupied and missed him. I am sure it was a sound he had never heard before and probably will never again.
After 4 months of work on the car it ran well. The 14" tires have to go though. As 'The Don' says, "It corners like a pregnant pig." Let's see, tires, wheels, adjustable shocks, maybe some stiffer springs, turbo charger, ...........knew I was going to have a new punch list when this run was over.
What a great way to get introduced to the club. A pleasure meeting everybody and checking out the cars. Looking forward to the trip to Canada for the show in June. YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA.

Today, both the Western Canada and Northwest regions of the FCA got together and took a scenic drive, along the Chuckanut Drive, running beside Sammish Bay, North of Seattle. We (the Canucks) had some long line-ups at the border, but we all made it down on time at the rendez vous point in Bellingham. The weather was good and we had no problems with traffic. Our finishing point was in the neat little town of LaConner where we had lunch.

It was great to have DJ "Spank the birdie" Parks out with his yellow 308 GTS, who had just finished working (wet-sanding the paint) on his car at 11pm the night before! He had no problems on the drive and his car looked gorgeous (nice job dude!).

Here's some pics:

The only casualty of the drive was a rock-chip on the hood of Dave Handa's 328
