I concur with Dave H., Italian Car Parts has some of the highest priced Ferrari stuff around... they charge -MORE- than Ferrari dealers do for many of the exact same items.

BTW, Greg, I think you may be less than honest to say that the condition is "unknown", why would you install new shocks on your car? You MUST have some idea of their general condition.

Quoting prices from Italiancarparts.com is like quoting prices from the Dealer, plus 30%, they are ripping people off!

Check the prices for new Konis on www.tirerack.com
$117 for fronts, $142 for rears, plus you will need new bushings as JRV stated.

>>Sorry, but new ones are around $120 front and $140 for rear,<<

Uhhh...plus $70 bucks each shock (2 @ $35 ea) for bushings - plus cost to install bushings.

Nothing wrong with simply buying new ones, however all the assoc. neccesities add up to about $220-$240 per shock not counting tax & frieght or instalation.

$140????? I was under the impression that all 4 for a 308 (brand new) were close to $1000. We got the new ones on eBay for $600.

FWIW, I bought a long time ago, a full set (four shocks) of used GT4 Konis off of Ebay for $56... Yes, all four for $56! And the shipping was more than the total ($60+)!! They're in reasonable shape, but I'll rebuild them (eventually, not a big priority on my long list of things-to-do).

I joke for crying out loud...see the smiley? It was meant as a play on the fact that Ebay has totally become the playground of the sharks eating the unknowing...I love Ebay, but one must be super careful.

Lighten up Francis! :-) And before you flame me, that was another funny quote from the movie Stripes....

Dave out...

Sorry, but new ones are around $120 front and $140 for rear, the last time I checked, and questionable used ones would likely need to be rebuilt (around $120 each), so they are really worth nothing, as shipping back and forth will eat up any savings from buying from you and then sending out for rebuild...

I say Ebay them to some unknowing soul... :-)

I've got two Koni shocks that came off my '79 308GTB (now sold) sitting in my garage. Anyways, I'm looking to sell them. I'm not completely sure of the condition of them (bushings etc), so to be safe I would just say the condition is "unknown."

I was thinking around $150. What do you guys think? And no trying to lowball me because you want em! ;)
