Dave, is this the same GT4 that you and I discussed last month? Did you have the leakdown/compression tests done? If I remember correctly, you mentioned that the belts were done not that long ago. Everyone here knows my bias towards the GT4. |

Hi Dave, RE: the GT4, I emailed Peter GT4 who likes his GT4 very much. He should be responding to you. |

Hi im considering a couple different Ferrari's. I have one Im looking into at Steve Harris in Salt Lake. Does anyone have any feedback on this operation and how does an 83 GTB sound with all records and a full service being performed by Steve before he sells it. He's asking 36k for the car. All records and books, car is from Cali and has 51k miles on it. Thanks for your time to those who reply. Other car is a 77 GT4 that has new paint and interior with 83k on the clock. I like the idea of extra room and its a nice compliment to my 94 Lotus S4... |

Bill, I guess it was a little short and I did that purposely. No matter who you are dealing with in this kind of situation, Business is Business. It's your money and your investment . When you buy it you own it good with the bad. Hoping the bad will be much less if any. Having said that, for my own peace of mind, I would have a unbiased person,Tech., check the car out for me. Then I would know that I have exhausted all possibilities of a existing major problem. All of these testimonials seem to be complimentary of those people at the dealership and I am sure that they are the nice people they are said to be. I think opinions have been expressed here and I agree with Jim. As nice as all personalities involved can be "Business is still Business." This just my opinion. At this point it is your call. They were OK , but did not take me seriously when I wanted to drive a few of their cars on offer. Went elsewhere. Mabye I did not look "greed is good " enough for them! |

I'll add my voice to those who are satisfied with FoOC. Manager Bill Story is a great gentleman and very knowledgeable in F matters. Josh and Pat are good people and Alan in service is good to deal with. |

William, find another inspector. I just bought from a dealership that had my car 'consigned' and paid them to inspect it. I was concerned about the conflict of interest, but was talked into moving ahead. Not the best decision I've ever made. Never again. It's amazing the things I've learned about the car now that I own it, that I thought I paid to have uncovered. If you need an OC inspector, call Norwoods in Dallas. They gave me the name of Lyle Tanner in OC. I don't have his number, but Norwoods should. |

I purchased my 95 F355 from Josh about a 1 1/2 years ago. The experience was great. Since I live in the north bay, most of the conversations took place over the phone. I flew down, Josh picked me up from the airport and the car was even better than I expected. If I were to ever buy another Ferrari it would be the first place I would go. Say hi to Josh for me as well. Tom Antal |

Magoo Sorry but your message is a little to Zen for me. I don't do car business much and it seems one wrong move and my Ferrari could end up being the gift to myself that really keeps on taking! If I can't decide what to do I always fall back on the maxium, "There is always another deal." Viken, Thanks for your imput and I'll tell Josh that you gave them your recommendation. I am sure he'll be pleased. I too met the head of the service department and he did indeed seem like a very nice gentleman. I guess my used car defenses are on max gain for this purchase. Thanks again |

I purchased my 2000 360 Modena (new) from them last year and couldn't be happier. They treated me very well and their service department is run by a very nice fellow with good experience. Are you dealing with Pat or Josh? Please tell them I said hi. |

Anybody out there have any opinions on Ferrari of Orange County in Costa Mesa, California? I am thinking of buying a use car from them and it won't be easy to get my own mech. to inspect it. They offered to let him use their service bays if he wants to come down or send someone, while that did seem nice of them, it is impractical. Should I let them do an inspection on a car they are selling on consignment? |
