Peter, yep they did - you need to supply them with a electronic version of the F Horse and then tell them the size you want on the headrest. I had 2 shots at this - the first one was bigger and didn't look good - personal taste of course ! The thread they use is apparently UV protected so it won't fade !! |

Antony Thank you! Tell me about the F Horse on your head rests. Did your upholstery shop do that? I like it! |

How about making sure all the labels are intact or replaced, including the ones on the original wheels (if you still have them). I replaced the exhaust valves (from sodium filled to steel) and new set of Koni's, the cv joints and rubber covers may need replacing, respray in crinkle paint the carb cover (this looks really nice - especially with the firing order label put back on it). On the fusebox I would leave it alone unless it was playing up. Maybe re-lubing the windows and making sure the electrics on the windows are still working a bit better than their usual slow state. I re-sprayed the radiator outlet louvres black (like a 208 turbo model)which look nice (IMHO !). On re-covering the seats I did this to mine. |

Zipper is good, I reconditioned the wheel wells and the fuse box seems OK. I am replacing the rubber boot around the trunk opening. |

How's your trunk zipper cover? Wheel wells? Blower fan motors? Fusebox? |

Ever got so muddy you could care less how muddy you got? That is my mindset with my '77 308! I had a major done on the engine. The gearbox went south, so the engine got pulled (still in shop). I had the car towed home (125 miles) and I went to work cleaning the heck out of the engine bay. I painted the fire wall and fuel tanks and it all looks great! With that complete, I pulled the seats and door panels to be re-covered. I OK'ed my mechanic to build be a custom exhaust. The carpet and floor mats are new. The only thing I can think of now is to have the metal door jam runners re-chromed....Any items I may be missing to attend to (other than new paint...which I don't really need)? I started with an OK looking car that is really starting to look nice! |
