A weekend full of family birthdays is keeping me from going to Reading. And it would have been my first time too! Damn.

How about this weekend? A gig at the Reading Country Club in Reading, PA of course. I will be in Watkins Glen for the weekend, might be back in time. Word is I could not get in because I don't own a Ferrari (yet) anyway. Is this the truth? I would think many who attended the Atlantic City event will be there?

Sorry I missed you guys last weekend. I didn't get out of work until after 5:30 and by the time I got there, everybody had left.

Finally, I got some time to post my pictures.
I had a great time meeting everybody.
Thanks to Vernon for setting up the rooms at the Taj and the lunch at the club.
I need to learn how to play golf for next time.
I will be going to Reading this Sunday, but I'm not entering any cars.
See you guys there.

Ciao

Vernon, Thanks for the wonderful weekend. The ambiance you provided was second to none. Truly a class act and representative of the Scuderia!

Dave, Thanks for the drive in the BB. My girlfriend now knows she's not the only one in my life. Hopefully, she'll know what to get me for Christmas! Also, a golf shot I will never foget.

Rob, Keep up the good work and the next AC will be greater. I'm certainly passing the word at Reading this weekend.

To all the Tifosi, if you're at Reading, stop by the red 348 spyder for drinks and lies about how we murdered Galloway1

Seriously though, I don't think it will be long before we have several regional FC outings I'll attend each year. Have one each in Atlantic City, Cali/LV, DFW/Mid-West, and Europe.

My total cost for the flight and room was around $600. Not bad at all for that much fun. I imagine we'll get 50+ at these types of events in the future.

What a great day! I can only blame my bad round of golf on the fact my ears were ringing after Tom and I howled down the Garden State! All those Italian horses can be distracting. Rob/Vernon - thanks for organizing. I can't wait for next year (shouldn't we do this twice a year - spring & fall??)

Vernon, if you're crazy enough to invite us back out again :-), then I'll organize it. We should probably wait and set a date later this summer though to avoid any schedule conflicts next year.

What month would work well for everyone? April, May, or June?

Hey Guys

I am glad that eveyone enjoyed themselves.

I had a good time meeting all of you and loved the cars (espicially Dave's Boxer). If the weather was better I am sure there would have been a better turnout but what the hell it was fun!

Sorry I had to run out early on saturday but I am sure I will see most of you again soon.

I am up for a 2nd Annual if someone would be interested in organizing the event. I will be happy to make the course available if someone wants to do the organizing. So someone pick a date and we will figure it out.

I got back a little while ago. The weekend went just perfect. I couldn't of asked for anything more. First time to Atlantic City, the nicest golf course I've ever played in my life and I've played many in my younger years, great food, meeting some users for the first time, seeing Tom again, getting away from Texas for a weekend, and winning $100 overall! Although I was up $1,200 at one point, but hey, I got about 8 hours of gambling in and they paid me $100 to do it. Great weekend!

Thanks Vernon for organizing it, and picking me up from the airpot, and giving me a tour of your beautiful house, and taking me to AC, and letting us on your most exclusive club, and buying supper Friday night, and buying lunch Saturday, and everything else. I'll change FerrariChat.com to VernonChat.com if you don't mind. It was just awesome and I owe you much. Please send the bill.

Vernon and everyone else for that matter are more than welcome to Dallas so I can pay you back. We can hit the race track and whatever else you would like to do. Golf, fine dinning, clubs, whatever. I don't take freebies like this weekend very well, so expect some payback from me.

Gates to the very excluseive Galloway Club. Only 200 members. Even on the weekends there may only be 20 rounds played a day. However, there is a full golf, grounds, and wait staff to be there for everything you need. It's beyond explanation, but with these types of members I believe that's the level you expect and pay for.

There is a possibility of a 2nd Annual Atlantic City outing. After everyone has seen what a success this year was and scheduling away from Mother's Day and the Greenwich Concours we'll see if we can add a couple cars.

Vernon:

Thank you for you generosity in hosting the First Annual Ferrari Chat Atlantic City Golf Tournament. My wife and son really enjoyed themselves which is a first for a Ferrari gathering (my wife hates Ferraris). Everyone was very nice and we had a great time.

Dave thanks for letting Bill and I take out your Boxer. The car is a real brute. Much more so than I ever imagined. And thank you for sending me that book. I will check with my friend tomorrow about those stickers.

Well the weather scared a few people off but we had a great time anyway, the course was great and when Rob birdied the first hole I thought we were in trouble.:-) Vernon, thanks for the hospitality and let us please settle up on some of the bills - it was too generous!! BTW, I left Rob sitting at the black jack table on a bad run:-) I told him I would not give him the sponsorship check that I owe him for fear he would let it ride :-)
